Back in the mid to late 80s… when i was 16-19… Husker Du were my release of latent teenage frustration… and when they covered this, I remember being blown away… its aged a bit, but still has a rawness that annoys parents
The Byrds original was banned by the BBC as they simply read the title and assumed it was drug related. David Crosby still insists 50 years later it was inspired by their first trans Atlantic flight to the UK.
