:covid_19: 😷 🏥 Coronavirus the thread for all your fears PT II ❓

Looks like we’re all learning to live with it…

Meh.
Once you’ve all caught it, it can mutate and start again

Only if you’re not vulnerable, I’m not but Lady Slowlane is so fuck living with it. It’s not always about yourself.

The key data here is that of the 17000 admitted to hospital 50% went there for some other reason and were found to be positive on arrival

Also only 300 are requiring ventilation

Whilst Covid is on the up, the vaccines do seem to be keeping the severe cases down to a minimum

I would like to know how many of those in hospital who were admitted because of Covid were vaccinated

Anecdotally I think we suspect the number, but yes I agree.

I spent last night sat next to someone who now has covid

So the question is - what is the chances of re contracting given that I was diseased in Feb

Fixed.

You have both had it recently and been vaccinated - pretty small chance of getting reinfected

Not sure why anyone would be surprised - this is the consequence of the current “living with Covid” agenda, isn’t it?

They either don’t fly because we are locked down or do schedule flights and accept they might not fly

That’s what it seems Joe Public is going to have to accept for the foreseeable future (& not throw toys out of their pram if/when it happens)

Actually they are saying 62 flights out of 1600 from the UK - thats less than 5%

Tested positive. Must have caught it in dirty Leeds.

Symptoms:

Blocked nose
Dry cough
Headache

True - very like a hangover - but no booze since the weekend.

I have been feeling hungover since I had too much last Monday, -ve LFTs and -ve PCR so far.

Loads of it at the General.

As in loads who are there because of it or loads who have got it but are there for something else / work

The latter. It fucks everything though. Wards have to be repurposed. Loads of staff off.
Mrs G is looking forward to testing being stopped completely.
