:covid_19: 😷 šŸ„ Coronavirus the thread for all your fears PT II ā“

Sadly, no, so can’t blame a bad batch! Mrs TB is testing as well, and she is coming up negative, so it looks like a latter day typhoon Mary (deliberate spelling mistake to lighten the conversation!).

Still testing positive - but only just (second red line is very feint). Does this indicate I will test negative soon? Anyone know?.
I’ll be free after tomorrow anyway.
And why are the Covid stats on BBC still 2 days out of date? A conspiracy here perhaps?

I’m negative!
No, wait, that’s not what I meant!
At last I have tested negative, on the final bloody day would you believe!
I’m free - I’m going out in the street to give two fingers to the lot of them.
Fuck spurs, fuck Man U, and now fuck Covid!

A Djokvic speaks, got to admire his principals however he does sound a bit of a whack job regarding his ā€œtempleā€

He could do with a whack job to his temple to knock some sense into him tbf

Sadly I now have no time for Djokovic, and am cross with myself for even reading the article. I suppose I had a vague hope he was going to say something sensible, and apologise, but he didn’t, so he can fuck off.

Where are we all at with the ā€œliving with Covidā€ malarky

Free testing withdrawn
no Isolation requirements

Is it the right time or the wrong time? When is the right time?

Personally I think that we are fast approaching the point of living with it - whether its this week / next week or next month, I cannot see what difference its going to make now. We should probably just crack on.

Judging by the almost complete lack of mask wearing I saw at the weekend people are already ā€œliving with Covidā€

Having watched some higher risk people interviewed, and some employers, I think its frankly stupid.

When the mask rules were dropped, they were immediately replaced with ā€œbut please remember to wear masks in crowded spacesā€.

Now its looking like the rule requiring isolation when positive is to be replaced with ā€œbut please use common sense and isolate if you are positiveā€.

Both of these ignore the selfish murderous shit bags who have neither common sense or any thought for others.

Those at high risk may well wonder if they just have to go back to shielding and very restricted lives for the long term :rage::rage:

As most of you know, I’m a mask wearer in enclosed spaces and mass gatherings. It’s not because I’m scared of getting Covid but scared of passing it onto Lady Slowlane who is vulnerable.

If she feels unwell she has an emergency number to ring, they despatch a home PCR Test and if needed she will be treated with Antivirals.

Do I think it’s too early? Yes. Removing the need to test and to isolate will only show the inevitable increase in the infection rate through an increase in Hospital admissions, two weeks later.

This is not protecting the vulnerable, just the share holders.

My sister came round this morning then tested positive this afternoon. Gave myself a LFT that came back negative. As I will be flying out on 1st march got a PCR test booked for 27th

Given that most vulnerable people are always going to be vulnerable, when is the right time to remove these restrictions?

When the infection rate is lower. It’s the high infection rate that drives a high Hospital admissions rate.

What # Freedom Day are we on this week?

Lower than what, specifically? (I think is what CB is getting at.)

And don’t expect an answer, because there isnt a right one. It was more a hypothetical question

What would be ok for @lifeintheslowlane would still be too soon for some

A line needs to be drawn at some point and wherever that line is drawn will piss some people off

I’m not talking about months…a couple of week will make a considerable difference…
These are the latest infection rates…

We’re talking about Hospital admissions and ergo, deaths.

I realise that. It’s like the old conundrum of how many road deaths are acceptable before we simply ban cars on the grounds that people will be killed by them regardless of mitigating measures imposed. People with family members killed would probably think personal freedom to drive wasn’t worth their child dying for.

You can thank me all later…

Scotland going maintain free testing however her ladyship has the hump because Westminster wont pay for it

I thought she could raise taxes up there - maybe do that
