:covid_19: 😷 🏥 Corona Virus the thread for all your fears ❓

Well £30 spent, I suppose it would have had to be done anyway and I hear maybe it would have had to go through as it ran out tomorrow.

Coming to a football ground near you soon

Ah, the indulgence of a kept man.

You would think with Wembley and Cardiff that have roofs they could do this

45 deaths today. There were 87 yesterday.

Had a bit a of downer today - worries about the future of our business etc - no different to millions of others but hey.

This site is a source of light relief and general fuckwittery that just helps. Keep it up chaps ( and chapesses) thanks @pap and @saintbletch

Gazing into your crystal ball, what do you read into that?

Honestly? Poor data or a temporary reprieve.

We’re here to serve. :+1:

The only way I’ve been able to cope with life’s ups and downs over the years is to live for the moment (hackneyed phrase until you live it) and this site helps me do that too.

Had a distressing call with my daughter in Australia a few days ago. She’s a sensitive soul and was worried for the entire world and especially concerned about the health of the old people that were still coming into the coffee shop where she works. Difficult to tell her anything to help as we have no idea where this will end, so told her to focus only on the things she could change or control.

It’s helped her, but we’ve got months of this. Coming to terms with our status as passengers in this slow-motion car crash is tough, but it’s essential we do. It’s especially important for us that are not as mentally robust as others.

Stay well all.

Luck?

Going to be 3 figures tomorrow

Preparations are increasing so we know it’s not going away anytime soon. ICU beds in Southampton normally 50. Has been upped to 150 and modelling says that needs to be doubled again asap.

It is getting a bit scary - the graph of world cases is terrifying

Don’t look at it! Social distancing and extensive testing works. That’s what we should concentrate on.

I think one of the things that people really miss during these extraordinary times is glorious routine. We haven’t had a lot of that recently so having Sotonians is definitely a comfort to me as it is to many.

We’re coming up for our five year birthday, and it still astonishes when I look at what we’ve actually fucking covered. The rise and fall of the new old left. Brexit, before and after. The rise of identity politics. Detailed stories of strife overseas that the mainstream news doesn’t seem to be covering.

We’re small but pretty much perfectly formed. I think the best compliment I can pay to this place, after spending so much time on SaintsWeb, is that I haven’t missed that place once.

It helps that we’re all raving bonkers tbh Pap.

Speak for yourself, Filip.

Both myself and the fairy folk that live on my shoulders, directing my life actions, are all perfectly sane.

Wembley’s unavailable until that giant lasagne is properly cooked.
