Any one who wants a pint, the happy Cheese looked like it was open

Top tip: if self isolating with your family, do not under any circumstances be tempted to play monopoly.

Farmers shops are where it’s at. Couple of nice veal chops and a pork roast for tomorrow

The first attempt I’ve seen to explain in detail what was going on behind the scenes that led to us fannying around for so long.

There is also a worrying mention of a link between Cummings and Vallance.

When we’ve got over the worst of this, there will be importnat questions to answer about leadership and decision making.

The Telegraph criticising Boris’s inaction.

Today’s press conference was a joke, as the guy says, utterly removed from reality.
To stand up there and blithely say that there is plenty of food in the supermarkets when the reality on the ground is that they are stripped bare of most essentials all over the country is beyond belief. They probably believe it as well, in the world these people inhabit there is plenty of food at Fortnum and Mason and Harrods food hall. No rugby scrums there. They probably wonder what the fuss is all about. The photos in the press yesterday of a delivery truck outside No 10 wheeling in a pallet of posh toilet paper through the back door sums it up. ’ We must all pull together as a nation because we are all in it together’ my arse.

Bit of a mixed situation here… shops reasonable at 7am, but probably empty now… when the fuck will the dickheads realise there are no shortages, but they cant keep up deliveries because the dickheads keep buying 14 weeks worth which then causes other to panic… in a chain reaction kind of way.

There has to come a point where the panic buying abates - probably when the knob heads cannot push past all the bog roll in their hall way

The more I read and enquire about the availability or lack of concerning ventilators scares me no end, this is going to be unbelievable in the US and Russia, bad here but off the charts there.

Note that the scale is logarithmic not linear.

important, but still we need epidemiological context. I wold like to see the baseline graph , that shows the ‘normal’ weekly cumulative death rate from respiratory tract infections in all age groups (in uk its boy 2000 a week), so how many more is corona virus causing over base line?

Yes eventually it will exceed this if we dont get it under control, but Italy also has the oldest population in Europe, and a social norm of generational family gatherings… meals etc … we have morons out in pubs getting shitface together last night …

Tariq Ali still going, thankfully.

The clocks go forward next weekend.
Not sure how far forward but I think 4 months is good enough!
