As far as I know the official advice for those who suspect that they may have been infected with Covid-19 is to self isolate for two weeks. Nowhere, other than in the article that you’ve quoted, have I seen eight weeks suggested as the recommended period. Is it also worth mentioning that said period is recommended and not instructed? There’s a major difference between these.
If you want to know what the official advice is, it’s not hard to find.

i think the 8 weeks was the recommendation for at risk groups to isolate (0ver 70 etc).
That’s 12 weeks, I think.

Fair points on the wording, but i’d argue that your asking for something you don’t get from the msm. Better than them is not an unreasonable request though.
Official advice? I’d be stuck on social media keeping up with their forever changing “scientific” view.
