:covid_19: 😷 🏥 Corona Virus the thread for all your fears ❓

Could it be that people who drink more than 5 glasses of red wine a week might tend to drink it at home? So they won’t be out in the boozer catching covid?

Cynic :joy:

I was concerned heading out last night.
I had a pie then went to 2 pubs.
Both were rammed with Brits.
And I realised it’s my best chance of catching Omicron.

In my experience, beer drinkers tend to swill pints in the pub while wine drinkers are more likely to imbibe in the comfort of their own living room. So I’d have thought it followed that the latter group would be less exposed to potential virus carriers.

And those of us that do both?

Cheers! Hic!

Just had my third Mderna jab

Day two tests scrapped from the 11th Feb for incoming travellers

And on cue, the trade body representing the testing industry are whinging - well they can fuck off considering how much they have been gouging us for to date

Triple jabbed-ness won’t stop you getting the disease, but the important thing is that the drug companies, regardless of your health outcomes, will still make money.

Interesting position

Seems there are other factors though.

Family are proud of his stance apparently

Yeah - although it does suggest that given two equally sick patients with identical lifestyles, the vaccinated patient is getting the nod over the unvaccinated particularly when there is scarcity involved

In bed felling shit - two -ves so far

If this is Covid it had fucked my holiday to St Lucia in a couple of weeks

Fingers crossed for a cold / flu / galloping clap

Having a heart transplant means that the patient’s immune system is heavily suppressed to prevent rejection. Catching a dose of Covid under these circumstances, if unvaccinated, is pretty much a death sentence.

Plenty of time.

Its quite touch and go

We have book our pre departure PCR on the Sunday prior - I get released from quarantine on the Saturday - Had to get a PCR thi morning because that is all they recognise in St Lucia.

I will test positive on the pre departure PCR so then I have to get a recovery certificate from a GP in the two days before travel and get that lot uploaded - they have been having a nightmare with the ST lucian website

On top of that I have to avoid giving it to the Ayatollah - if she gets it in the next few days, its all over

Need a bigger dog house

It was a real pain in the arse for me in the US too. If you can, get a local burner phone so you can enter a St Lucian phone number and use your St Lucian address such as your hotel, etc.

Mrs G finally has the plague.
