Maybe the yoots should have realised that this wasnāt over and Johnson has form for changing his mind and made the effort to go get jabbed sooner?
The clubs could have played their part and encouraged vaccinations too, but I assume they were more interested in the short termā¦maybe?

COVID rules have left me in a state of total fucking anxiety. Part of the problem are the new UK rules, which have required me to do all kinds of running about.
To add insult to injury, it is very difficult to get a test in the US and quite expensive. The US propensity to forget that other parts of the world exist made even the simplest tasks, like entering your actual phone number, impossible.
Iāve had to book a test for re-entry to the UK before I was able to even fill out the passenger locator form.
I am airside now and three flights from home. Wonāt be doing this again under these conditions.

Someone I know has just come back from Vegas and has said much the same thingā¦
Itās a complete and utter ball ache - the only positive is that having got the test, I now know where to go if I ever need another one. Ended up using a pop-up service that had all the tests available. Most of the big providers wonāt even do an antigen test.
I have heard from two sources today - one council, one govt - partial lockdown in January probably starting on the 27th Dec
