Yeah TBF it looks like the current jabs will stop severe disease and thus deaths but expect infections and deaths in those unvaccinated to increase. Blood on their hands again from something that was known and preventable.
Genetically pre-disposed?
Are you right there, Cobs?
Is this Indian variant a real problem given where we are at vaccination wise or is this an attempt to get the recalcitrant to get their shot
By expert opinion it doesn’t cause a more severe disease just more transmissible but by weight of numbers could cause more deaths. The current vaccines will prevent severe disease so it should encourage the tardy twats to get their jabs but anyone who still doesn’t want the vaccine can rot for all I care.
Most of the positive tests have been in younger people, so fewer cases should result in hospital admission.
Problem seems to be that Corona found out how to tackle the Yoof.
My guess is that while “deaths” & even hospital admission percentages may be down, Long Covid numbers may rise which will put a long term strain on the NHS.
The ME de nos jours
I feel like a day off, can you run the symptoms past me again? Cheers
I see Boris is recommending An Element of Caution when returning to pubs and restaurants this week. Never heard of this before is it a New Real Ale ?
It’s a cocktail, like Sex on the Beach but less racy
My daughter was diagnosed with ME and believe me it is no damn joke
I get to hug my daughter in law today, for the first time in well over a year.
I have decided to be frugal with my hugs, on the simple basis that if I didn’t hug someone before COVID, I don’t have to hug them now!
I’m sure it isn’t for those who actually have it, and she has my sympathy. Back in the day though it was definitely a skivers charter, I know plenty of layabouts who played that card relentlessly.
Yep pretty much same view out the window here this evening
At times it’s been like going over the Niagara Falls in a barrel here today
Tbf, if those unvaccinated have refused jabs it serves them right.
Just an extension of the Darwin Awards.
