:covid_19: đŸ˜· đŸ„ Corona Virus the thread for all your fears ❓

I think I worked 2 David Essex gigs at the Mayflower. It was quite something. All rushing from their seats to the front. I think we were meant to try and stop them a bit but just couldn’t.

We sat upstairs so they stayed in their seats.
I tried to find a way to describe what went on around us never found a pleasant way to say it so stuck with feral.

When an msm tweet is so like an RAF Luton tweet you know the world has gone to shit

Frantic attempts to cover up more bullshine from Johnson from No. 10?

:joy:

MSM are really trying to create something from this - they have even asked Anna Soubry for a comment

Well, he is a bit of a clown though, so there probably is a grain of truth. Keeps the masses entertained, wot!?

this looks promising - there is currently a 1300 patient clinical trial running in the US

Undoubtedly - probably engaged his gob before remembering that he is PM and not everyone in the room likes him.

The EU exports controls have been updated to allow them to block exports to countries with high vaccination rates (ie the UK)

maybe we should apply import tariffs to all products from countries who have a better trade surplus / deficit than us - after all we should have “reciprocity” in trade as well

I remember reading somewhere that the Big Pharma lot are not meeting their projections on vaccine sales.
Being a little bit cynical, I wonder if some large orders from almost rich countries for vaccines selling at commercial rates might stop all these “criticisms” of and “queries” surrounding the AZ/Oxford vaccine.
Better the pockets of the greedy are lined to some degree rather than the poorer nations are denied a vaccine to get them (and ultimately us) out of the grip of this virus.
Everyone needs to remember the mantra that no one is safe until everyone is safe.

Uhm
Given the cost of goods price of the AZ, we should have agreed with AZ that they supply all developing countries with the vaccine at cost and WE would pay full whack
Even at Full whack it would cost us around 1.5bn max
or as Boris told us about 4.5 weeks worth of UK contributions to the EU, which were promised to the NHS

Put that into perspective against the 35bn wasted on test and trace and pocketed by cronies

Italian authorities raided a vaccine factory amid fear 29m AstraZeneca jabs meant for developing countries were hidden supplies meant for the UK.

The raid meant AstraZeneca fell victim to more vaccine disinformation after the British-Swedish company was falsely accused of hiding the doses.

The erroneous report spread like wildfire across European media because Brussels is threatening the UK with an export ban on millions of AstraZeneca doses from its Halix plant in Leiden, the Netherlands.

News reports in Italy said that a European Commission investigation and a raid by Italian authorities had exposed the British-bound shipment at the Catalent plant in Anagni.

But The Telegraph understands that the 29 million doses at the “fill and finish” plant in Lazio, the region that includes Rome, were due to be sent to European and developing countries under the COVAX programme

I appreciate that its the telegraph - but the EU seem to be losing the plot completely

According to Reuters they were due to be sent to Belgium

What a bunch of fuck wits

AZ must wonder why the hell they bothered

Taking all things into account, perhaps the best thing for everybody is if Astra Zeneca stops producing in Europe.
This wouldn’t delay their calcination problem any longer than they already have themselves.

Vaccination of course - don’t know what the auto correct thing is!

Not a bad idea as a significant portion of Europeans now say they won’t take it.

I couldn’t watch his full answer.
