So do you remember last year when the Italians locked down the north and everyone legged it south?

And all the Londoners went to their second homes?

And surprise surprise the rates jumped everywhere as a result?

Well the French have just decided to do the same - the intercity trains are rammed with Parisians getting out of dodge

Me and Mrs C_S were impressed with the efficiency and friendliness of the staff at the vaccination centre at Epsom Racecourse today. A very slick operation- shame it’s being shut down shortly for…horse racing. Priorities eh?

This. A million times this.

It makes a change for him to receive a small prick.

I’ll get me coat…

The horse racing makes a lot of money. For some.

What A Fucking Disgrace.
Anyone still prepared to defend Johnson, Sunak and the rest of the crooks running this country?
UKs richest man who pays lives in Monaco to avoid his tax - 175 grand.
Lord Ashcroft, multi millionaire donor and former chairman of the Tory Party - 20 grand.
The BNP - 10 grand.
Manufacturers of Grenfell Tower cladding - Half a mill.
Tony and Cherie Blair, The Saudi royal family, the ruler of Dubai, Harrods and the Ritz hotel, owned by the ruler of Qatar’s brother in law - 3 million, Donald Trump’s golf courses, and on and on and on.
Look up the word ā€˜Mugs’ in the Oxford English Dictionary and there will be a map of the UK there.

Nurses. 1%.

Not me, this week.

One of my team is based in our Cheltenham office. He takes the week off for it every year. He’s done it virtually this year. Looking forward to hearing how he lost his shirt, yet again…it’s now a tradition.

We’re hoping for a team building trip so maybe see you there

My partner also started a year ago. For the first time ever. He’d never ever works at home before. He is going to miss getting up late and being home at 5.15 when he goes back. Whenever that may be. As the office is a 3 min walk for me anyway I wont notice that much change.

The last year wfh has been an eye opener- me & my part of the business are more accessible and efficient (with the odd exception).

Have saved a small fortune on travel costs and buying lunches, beers at lunch / after work. No travelling across UK/EU for 15m meetings & my skin is hydrated and clear. I sleep sooo much better :+1:

I do need to lose a few pounds though :-1:

We’ve decided that we’ll open our offices more widely to get people in who just can’t be effective at home. Everyone else can book time in if they want / for client meetings

My lot will all meet up for team meeting when traveling is ok (& go to the pub / for food) but otherwise keep up the wfh permanently

We have been told no hurry to go back until 21st June. It has been suggested that we will be able to do 1 day a week at home then. We have to arrange it between ourselves. 6 of us but 5 days in a week and they don’t want 2 people WFH on same day. That makes no sense. I am hoping that they will rethink it. The council is also getting rid of buildings and were going to be more ā€˜agile working’ anyway. With out work we don’t see people face to face as we aren’t in the building with security and meeting rooms. So we could be anywhere really.

There is a bit at the end of this which should worry everyone

So it looks like VdLs threat to block Pfizer exports is a bit of a damp squib on account of the fact that the Pfizer jab is absolutely dependant upon raw materials from Yorkshire

That would explain why the govt aren’t too bothered by her threats

They obviously get this so this has all been about grandstanding to try to claw back some credibility
