:covid_19: 😷 šŸ„ Corona Virus the thread for all your fears ā“

Are people refusing c19 vaccine also against vaccines in general? I don’t get it, there’s a whole load of ā€˜death before c19 vaccine’ types in Oz, but I can’t tell if they’re just anti government.

I was always of the opinion that vaccines were the sole issue where the people were in lock step with government. Made me think of East Germany, such was the fervour shown to ensure kids had them. Never mind the lizards running pharma.

And don’t forget the 5G link @Anal2 , mustn’t forget that

(Apologies, wrong thread for this, so please move to "Shit comedy for those taht like shit comedy or something )

You need to be less intent on seeing motive in E v e r y t h i n g… The jokes are nasty, racist, misogynistic shite. Its simple, not complicated, and totally fair to ask what people see in that sort of thing. Its not generalising at all as I am sure they all have their own individual reasons for going to these gigs. But are you telling me none taht attend dont agree with they nasty staff?

Anyway, should Jim and Chalky be allowed back on telly? We need to know what Pap thinks of this!

What makes you think that they aren’t ā€œallowedā€ on the telly?

It’s totally fair to ask.

It’s eomewhat less fair to imagine or project.

Oh, fuck :man_facepalming:

They used to burn witches.
She might equally have argued a case stating that the measures we have taken because of COVID (washing hands, using hand sanitiser, keeping away from crowded places, maintaining a reasonable distance from others, taking advantage of better ventilation, self isolating and staying at home if you have any flu like symptoms etc etc) may well prevent as many flu like viruses from getting a hold.

It’s a fair enough thing to have a difference of opinion on.

We don’t agree. We don’t need to fall out over it.

Schools back today.

I do wonder if they will only tighten things again if the hospital caseload starts rising alarmingly

If the actual case count goes up without the hospitals coming under pressure - is it a bad thing. Otherwise we are never going to be allowed out to play again

Interestingly my nephew school had 3 positive out of a thousand - which suggests a rate of 300 per 100,000 - false positives or has the underlying rate always been like that

More selfish shit for brains… Are we allowed to generalise when its crowds of 1000s?

This is what will happen - the new number will not be cases per day, but hospitalisation a day.

I can assure you that a lot of countries are praying you dont stuff this up.
Poland allows double jabbed passengers to avoid quarantine now.
Everyone needs your money in the tourism sectors

While I in no way condone this, it is worth pointing that the risk of catching the virus oudoors is vastly reduced compared to an enclosed space. It will be interesting to see if there is any uptick in the Glagow rate of positive tests in the next 10 days. There was none from other similar events e.g. the BLM protests last year.

Lots of people milling about in town today. Presumably all the parents freed from their children.

It must be like the first day of the school holidays when you are a teacher

Traffic was very heavy this morning. I had to pick up the help in Totton, Romsey traffic on the A27 was queued back to the 3057 railway bridge at 7:45.

Dump kids head to Bournemouth Beach, where I am told it was quite warm & sunny

Nope, was sunny but cold around these parts
