It was only a few post aboveā¦Cobs, come on keep up
A vote against vaccine is a vote for Covidā¦how fuckinā stupid is that.
Lots of people of our generation saying that - probably because we are self sufficient
Imagine being a grad going into your first role. The office environment is important - it teaches you how to go to work, how to behave, how to interact in a business environment.
It is easier to form bonds with other newbies so you dont feel so alone
You have loads of questions which you can easily ask across the desk without the anxiety of interupting your boss with yet another zoom call
He is the sort of bell end that will spout this guff, then contract it, end up in ICU, survive and then say that it is real and everyone should get the vaccine - without a care of the damage he will have already done
I live in the here and now, living for the moment. The past is dead to me
Just how intelligent had you previously considered Ian Brown to be?
Yeah Iām aware of his previousā¦just in general terms as Iāve been making myself unpopular with some dickwad Aussies on Faceache.
It is depressing, but sadly when the UK has an electorate which can happily ignore 130,000 plus deaths, a goodly proportion of which are attributable to the sheer ineptness and dishonesty of the government, proven law-breaking by senior ministers, and cronyism and corruption on a massive scale, the country deserves whatever government it gets.
Does anybody still believe that a functioning democracy (with checks and balances, effective scrutiny of those in power, and respect for the truth and basic decency on the part of the government) still exists - particularly in England? Especially when we have a media that basically acts as no more than courtiers. The overwhelming evidence that itās gone and wonāt be coming back keeps on growing every day.
Just take this weeks budget. I am old enough to remember when a budget leak would be followed swiftly by a resignation, now it is leaked to selected people, many of whom will use what was once privileged information to take whatever steps necessary to save money/enrich themselves. Forewarned is forearmed.
Meanwhile, an effective pay cut for NHS workers, but a reported 200 grand bill for Johnsonās latest mistress to redecorate the flat in Downing St. And a photo in this morningās papers of a delivery van dropping off twelve and a half grands worth of posh āgroceriesā to No 10. And still we have people trying to excuse and justify this shameful and insulting āpay riseā to NHS workers, to whom we all owe so much during the past year, on the grounds that they should consider themselves lucky and be grateful because they are giving other low paid workers fuck all. I bet most of them were out clapping and banging their pots and pans on Thursday nights too. Shame on them.
Well, I had my first jab this morning. Astra zeneca at 9:30, no side effects as yetā¦
Update, still none this morning.
Sounds great when you read the headlines but then read onā¦
ā Police officers will be conducting spot checks and may ask travellers to produce a completed form.
It will be an offence to fail to produce a completed form and individuals could face a Ā£200 fineā
So, spot checks and a laughable fine.
Comical, and despairing in equal measures .
Sorry - no masks please
That doyen of epidemiology, Anthea Turner, has signed a letter. She has been backed up by the renowned scientist, MLT.
Iain Dowie is an advocate for wearing a mask in public.
I wonder why
I donāt recognise about half of the names. Are they real people. I know Anthea Turner and MLT arenāt
As someone on the thread commented
The veritable āWhoās thatā of show business
Well it good to see you finally got your hair cutā¦apart from that everything looks normal.
My teeth arenāt that good
