:covid_19: 😷 🏥 Corona Virus the thread for all your fears ❓

You ask why do “we” allow it to continue.
Sadly the answer is “we” can do sod all about it.
You think ANY snout in trough politician is going to vote to remove it?
Unfortunately they wont.

Many other Nations including many deemed " not up to UK Standards" do have anti-corruption laws and do charge people

That’s certainly the way a lot of the people seem to see it, but there are non violent options available:

Never going to happen. The sheeple have been trained to not give a fuck.

I tend to agree. The people of this country have been well and truly broken in.

However, the full repercussions of the pandemic and even Brexit are as yet unknown and those things could yet make people stir.

It’s a big problem with social media @Donkey_Schlong posts that but ignores the fact 30m people think Boris et al are doing a good job
#lookatvaccinerollout

Doesn’t mean 30m people know their arse from their elbow tbf

Not the point though is it?
Will MP’s vote for chaange? - Don’t be so fvcking naive
Will the public revolt? - Oh come on
Fact is every time someone like Baz applies Brit standards to the world, the world looks back and says

The vaccines are starting to show an effect on hospitalisation

Interesting that AZ is more effective - maybe the Germans and french should take note

They have a real problem - after weeks of shit canning the AZ vaccine out of spite, they cannot get their people to take it (surprise, surprise) - they have only managed to administer 15% of the doses delivered.

I can’t believe that Macron has the cheek to call anything quasi-ineffective after his run.

There’s political wisdom that says he’ll beat Le Pen in the second round, but I do wonder how much of the last few years has been taken into account.

His reaction to the gilets jaune thing was an international disgrace.

Interesting article on this subject in today’s Telegraph Business section, if it is correct then France (& Spain) are in for a very tough couple of months.

point is though the lead on this was NOT government, just the local independent technology appraisers highlighting a fact. The ‘n’ number or number within each age range of the study population was too low to ensure statistically significant efficacious effect in these age groups. This is standard practice and if there has been any political influence over how the data have been reviewed during the approval process, its most likely that it was by the UK on the MHRA as the same guiding principles also applied in the UK… and should still do

The purpose of the statistical significance is not something that should be dismissed lightly as its based on years of accumulated best clinical practice. It should also not be politicised by either side… This is about following established protocols.
