:covid_19: đŸ˜· đŸ„ Corona Virus the thread for all your fears ❓

We were the first to approve both the Pfizer and the AZ vaccines whilst the EU have been dragging their heels. We approved the Pfizer well before Christmas and started vaccinations three days later. The EU authorities weren’t even going to meet until 29th December to discuss anything but brought that date forward a few days under pressure from Germany.

Now they’re saying because they still haven’t OK’d the AZ vaccine we should be robbing our supplies so they can stockpile. Their laissez-faire attitude towards ratification of the AZ vaccine is astonishing in the circumstances. As Dr. John Campbell says in his daily briefings, this unwarranted delay in ratification is costing lives of EU citizens as every day passes.

Abysmal.

C’mon SOG you’ve got all editions of Parade in mint condition, in your shed. You can tell us, we won’t let on.

And the plant which cannot meet the demand is in Belgium & French owned.

I’m not getting mine off Klopp!

If I were German, French, Italian or Dutch, I would be fucking livid with the EU

Perhaps they had all just finished undercover work, impregnating hippie environmentalists, or infiltrating drug dealing networks! You never know!
Superintendent Barnett and haircuts. I thought I was reading Viz for a minute.

I saw her in the West End once. I think she may have had a bit of a fling with Malcolm Allison.

Not in mint condition I’m afraid. Some pages may be stuck together!

Yeah I was cleaning Alison’s bathroom window one morning and I just happened to have my camera with me. :lou_lol:

Strangely, being a BBC article, it isn’t overly critical of the governement

I am sure we can all remember being told that a death rate of 20,000 would be “good”.

Grim.

Well in the run-up today’s briefing on the BBC the director of the Office of National Statistic said the figure of 100000 deaths was old news
that figure had been hit on 6th January and now on 26th January the real figure was nearer 120000
so a damn sight worse.

It’s a comprehensive article though, which lists a host of factors, all of which have contributed.

Edit: that said, its surprising it does not mention the people who break the lockdown rules, every day, even now

So this Pfizer export bollocks - turns out that we export to them one of the components they need to make it - reckon that ingredient may quickly become a strategic asset

It’s in nobody’s interest to play politics in a Pandemic. While there are high infection rates there’ll be restricted travel.

I want a fuckin’ holiday.
