What about Reveile? (Have I spelt that right?). There was quite a few riske publications back in the day - not forgetting the Sunday News of the World

The News of the Scews . Lots of stories about dirty vicars etc. I only remember Parade from the early days of ā€œglamourā€ mags. Old copies used to be strewn amongst the hedgerows on the footpath on the way to school. It seems odd how prudish we used to be about sex 50 years ago when it is everywhere now. I’m sure you remember Mary Whitehouse and her campaign to maintain the nation’s moral standards? A ā€œglamourā€ magazine then appeared with full frontals inside - it might even have been published by the Dildo Brothers - were they in business in the 70’s?

Anyone remember Fiona Richmond? I think she used to live in Awbridge, I sometimes saw her in Romsey. She had the number plate,FU2 on, I think, a Merc. She wrote a weekly column in one of the skinflicks, ā€˜Around The World In 80 Lays’ I think it was called, it did exactly what it said on the tin. She was a game old bird, really sexy. She became quite the celebrity, I remember she married the guy with the blonde hair who was a presenter for STV. A vicar’s son as well as I recall, I bet she had him for breakfast, dinner and tea.

James Montgomery. He released an album back in the late 70s or early 80s, my girlfriend at the time was working in the record department of Whitwams in Winchester. He rocked up to promote said LP, which was playing instore just as my girlfriend was describing in exact and merciless detail to the rest of the sales force precisely what made the album so piss poor and her dismay at having to try and sell it. As she turned around and spotted him, she was treated to a withering glare of pure venom :smile::smile:

edit, this must have been it… https://www.discogs.com/James-Montgomery-September-Mornings/release/9900734

I’m getting lots of reports from the Sandpit of adverse reactions to the Sinopharm Vaccine.
They are very worrying.
Apart from the usual sore/itchy arms, people are suffering from uncontrollable cold sweats, headaches and anger tantrums, shaking, nausea and a complete loss of focus.

Apparently they last for 3 days after the injection.

Then everyone can drink Alcohol & smoke again.

Errrm aren’t most of their vaccines produced in the UK anyway?

Apparently they’re being manufactured in Belgium…

Big delays on the Pfizer vaccine produced in Belgium…updating their facility to cope with the extreme demand.

The Oxford /Az vaccine being produced by partners in 29 different countries.

Doesn’t help that it is still not approved in EU & they have massive delays as well.

BBC News - Coronavirus: EU to tighten vaccine exports amid row with AstraZeneca

And there are problems with one of those partners, the Sepracor plant in Belgium is getting reduced yields for their vaccine batches. Just goes to show that making vaccines is not simple.

Our AZ supplies are being produced in the UK - our Pfizer ones are produced in Belgium.

Part of the issue is that the EU have said what has happened to the AZ doses produced in Belgium to date - Their position is that AZ should have stockpiled awaiting the EU to approve it. They are concerned that AZ have exported doses to other countries who have approved the vaccine - couple that with production issues at the Belgium plant and they have a supply constriction.

The other part of the issue is that the EU have not had a good ā€œvaccine phaseā€ and need to deflect criticism

Merck have canned their development of a single dose vaccine. It didn’t worth well in enough in trials.
