:covid_19: 😷 🏥 Corona Virus the thread for all your fears ❓

We might be better served by training up Ice-Cream van salesmen to administer the Oxford Vaccine. They drive refrigerated vans with an audible call-out. The Street queues up at the van and stick out an arm for the jab…job done.

When my youngest was a child, she referred to the Kaiser Chiefs as the Kaiser Chefs.

We’ve made many quips off this, such as “I predict a salad”, “Every day I love you like my cress” and “Oh my god, I can’t believe it. This pizza’s so good. Am I in Rome?”

Heard any good local rumours about that?

Amazed that it still hasn’t been found.

Yep here it is.

Absolute silence joke with the locals is that the pilots all wear aviator watches as they are good for 200m below sea level.

The EU fvck up is becoming clear (they ordered nowhere near enough jabs)

Here it will be the GP surgery in our (and every) village giving the jab.

We will get 30 doses a week.
Population 1517. 2 jabs needed :man_facepalming:

SGH pretty confident that we’ve hit the peak of this wave across the region and admissions should start to drop. Portsmouth and IOW are only problem areas.

Seems like he’s just looking for publicity

I didn’t think you could buy the vaccine privately anyway - Can you? Asking for a friend, like.

More importantl, legally I don’t think this can be done…

Exactly- He’s got form for being “controversial” though.

There were reports yesterday in a few papers about a private concierge service called Knightsbridge Circle, (25,000 quid a year membership), they have been flying members to the UAE and India for luxury vaccination holidays. K C say 20% of their clients had flown to Dubai and Abu Dhabi which are offering private appointments of the Pfizer vaccine.
The service has also started offering trips to India to get the Oxford/AstraZenica vaccine this week.
The founder of Knightsbridge Circle, Stuart McNeill told the Telegraph,“You go for a few weeks to a villa in the sunshine, get your jabs and your certificate and you’re ready to go”.
He estimated a month long trip to Dubai, with first class Emirates flights and a stay at the Jumeirah Beach hotel, would cost about 40 grand. The cost of the vaccine is included. I should fucking hope so!
They are currently negotiating with doctors in Marrakech about the possibility of having the AstraZenica vaccine transferred there from India , due to difficulties in getting visas to India for UK members.

I fear 40 grand is probably a bit too high for most of us on here, although i am assuming that Lord and Lady Slowlane will already be members of Knightsbridge Circle. Perhaps he could negotiate a package deal with them, himself and her ladyship to the luxury villa in Dubai for a month, below stairs to Marrakech for the long weekend, all inclusive one jab Russian vaccine deal.

It’s an interesting concept

I suppose you could argue that you have a duty of care to protect the rest of the workforce.

There is also a disability aspect if you are unable to have the vaccine due to some underlying condition

I can see firms providing access to the vaccine (once the full roll out is done) to employees and not paying out sick pay if they refuse to have the vaccine but subsequently contract covid

It’ll be interesting to see the employer taken to court if they do.

The MSM are spitting feathers that London is lagging behind in the vaccination stakes

I would qualify that as not pay full sick pay as opposed to SSP
