I can assure all forum members, the only country that will let you in with your dodgy jabs is Poland.
Book now to avoid disappointment.
Jokes apart.
There is still a big issue.
WHICH Jab to have
Imagine having one then being told you needed the Chimp one but have to wait until they tested combinations to see if it is safe…
I have registered Chambers, Mrs Karakachanov our chef and four of the other maids for an early jab. That means Lady Slowlane and I will be having all of them.
Surely 1 out of 5 will do it
Were not risking it, Lady Slowlane and I are obviously having one each of our own plus 3 each of the other 6. That gives us 4 rounds of immunity which I’m prepared to share by breathing over paying plebs.
I’m a leukaemia survivor. I’ll have the first one I’m offered.
Pretty certain our company medical officer will decide which one is going to be best and it will be mandatory for all offshore workers to get them prior to travel and going offshore. Much like the yellow fever jabs and taking Malaria tablets in Africa. They will make all the arrangements and payments for it.
Christmas all but cancelled here.
Travel restrictions yikes
At least the Malls will be open.
Bugger Xmas shopping will be possible
Considering we have similar numbers to UK…
Morawiecki also urged people not to plan trips abroad or large family gatherings with relatives from across the country over Christmas and the new year. “We are working on legal options that will limit the possibility of movement,” including domestically, he noted.
Agreed, I work in healthcare (albeit on the commercial/consulting side) and whilst its most likely that eventually we will probably see a cocktail emerge (possibly combined with flu vaccination process) that offers annual booster, any vaccination in the 90% effectiveness space should be jumped on (consider the flu vaccination is only 54% or so effective, puts it into perspective)
PS. Mrs MoT had Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia around 27 years ago and an eventual BMT… followed by Breast cancer diagnosis back in Jan (currently in complete remission) So know where you are coming from. Stay safe and healthy!
So the Oxford/AZ vaccine works offering 90% protection if you get the dosing right https://www.rte.ie/news/coronavirus/2020/1123/1179918-oxford-vaccine-theresa-lambe/
So if a team from a low risk area is playing a team from a high risk area only the home fans will be let in. Wouldn’t this possibly create questions about level playing fields?
The whole thing is just pure tokenism, populist nonsense from a PM who is desperate to be Mr Popular and is terrified of being disliked. The scientists and medical people are warning against relaxing these measures while the virus is still peaking, just as they did in the summer with the inevitable outcome, but Dim Jon Son will just carry on regardless, doing it all over again. I do wonder how much longer the British public are prepared to put up with this crap.
It’s always been clear that when fans come back it will be home only. And rightly so, to avoid crowds travelling distances together. So it’s irrelevant what tier the away team comes from.
But teams in tier 3 can’t have any fans in, no advantage of home fans cheering them on. Maybe Chelsea and Tottenham playing their home games with 4000 cheering them on, Likely Northern clubs playing their home games in an empty stadium. Is that not relevant?
You’re right, but you were originally talking about away fans.
Yes i confess i worded it badly, but the point i was trying to make is what i said in my follow up post, that teams from areas deemed low risk will get a distinct advantage over teams from tier 3. I don’t see how that can be disputed, and will likely affect standings in the table at the end of the season. It’s not a level playing field is it.
But obvs relevant where the home fan travels from ! Not all Saints fans live in Southampton. The travel rule for tier 3 still stands so if I got drawn for a ticket for a home game (assuming I was a ST holder rather than member) and I lived in a tier 3, I would have to forego my turn I guess ? It’s going to be interesting as it plays out and an admin nightmare for the club. They will be desperate to do it by the book though for fear of reprisals. I guess any income is better than no income ?
To be honest, I think we’ve been paying better with no fans on the stadium as there is no one there to scream “get it forward” when we pay possession football…I think home fans can have a -ve effect as well…
Also, will our fans be made to stay until after the final whistle?
