Perhaps, but I donât think you appareciate how toxic Keir is as an individual right now. Heâs still Mr EU, whatever he says among the general public and heâs hated by the left.
As I think youâve often said yourself, it is very easy to be in opposition, but itâs a lot more difficult to come up with solutions.
The idea of a circuit breaker is not Keir Starmerâs. Wee Nicky has already pulled this trick north of the border and honestly, I am dubious about its efficacy if there is not a track and trace system at the end of it.
You know enough about programming to know that this shit isnât hard if you have the right information. Given the debacle around Excel, I donât have a great deal of confidence that weâre doing anything clever with peopleâs phone numbers, like linking them to addresses.
Itâs simple stuff. You or I could stand up in front of a Select Committee tomorrow and explain that itâs a simple matter of giving each person an ID, linking those IDs and traversing those links when an outbreak is detected.
Why canât Keir and the âoppositionâ do that?
