I’m loving the new three word slogan. Build. Back. Better. Inspirational,a work of genius.

Quarantine band has been removed am free to roam the sights of Labuan. These have been sadly depleted since the onset of covid with all the entertainment centres closed.

Today’s media outrage

Ā£569m of ventilators purchased early on in the pandemic lay idle in warehouses - waste of money

This is the same media who hammered the govt for not having enough in the first place

Well we have them now so shut the fuck up

That word indicates an area of full engagement. An entertainment centre could have a Karaoke corner and a pool table as well as hostess’s

SoundS like KTV (apparently)

It’s called ā€œDamned if you do and damned if you don’tā€. The media (and social media) have a lot to answer for in this palaver. I’m continually astounded how the media (and people on here, for instance) can be vindictive and defamatory and still get away with it. Funnily enough if you go into the library, there isn’t a book titled ā€œHow to manage your way out of a virus pandemicā€. Then factor in the Great British Public … blimey.

Check this out - proper face plant time and to rub salt in to the wound, has probably also accepted a bung from the BBC for the interview ?

The government is doing all it can to blame the public for its failings.

The BBC is essentially an extension of whichever government is in charge.

Never ask what’s on the news. Ask why it’s in the news.

The reality is Pap, the public are doing a pretty good job at shitting on their own doorsteps. You only need to walk around with your eyes open to see that ! Whether or not (your opinion respected but not concurred) the BBC is a Boris loud-hailer, seeing it is believing it … the Great British Public have a lot to answer to.

If you look at most HYS on BBC stories, they’re constantly accused of being anti-government and should be closed down, which doesn’t seem to fit with what you are saying @Saint-CD

The thing is the British public are only taking their lead from do what you fucking like Cummings or who gives a fuck Jenrick.

Don’t forget to put a condom on your cue. :+1::sunglasses:

I don’t think it’s hyperbole to say that one incident broke the solidarity of the public and its willingness to do what it was told.

The PM’s right hand man, caught bang to rights and for a couple of weeks, had most arms of government dealing with his shite rather than the virus shite.

After that, how could the government possibly ask the public to do stuff and expected to have that wish respected?

More solid science at work…or not?

More importantly, are we going to get games televised for all of October? Seems the supreme powers are worried about loss of revenue

I am getting fed up with these articles - for every scientist the media digs up to shit can a govt decision, there is another saying they haven’t gone far enough

Then you have an advisory body Sage, that give the govt advice. The govt makes a decision and those members who disagree immediate start briefing the press.

It’s bullshit

So you believe everything Johnson and his ā€œappointedā€ experts tell you without questioning? What’s that phrase : ā€œlies, damned lies and statisticsā€?

You watch a slow car crash of this government’s ability to govern themselves let alone the UK and you still happy-clap them?

Question everything, regardless of political party or media source…

No I don’t - the experts brief both ways

Take the 10pm curfew. For every expert saying there is no basis for this decision, there are an equal number saying you should shut the pubs completely. In the middle there are another bunch saying shut at a time ranging from 8pm to midnight

It’s the same with almost every rule

The govt haven’t been great throughout this - and in some cases they have been ridiculous. Boris is a joke and needs replacing, although the Tories will wait until the real toxic shit is off the table

I don’t particularly like this govt. I loathe our media (social and mainstream) as they add nothing but divisiveness to the debate
