My last night onboard after being at work for 7 weeks.
The Malaysians have changed the rules.
All foreigners arriving in Labuan have to do 2 weeks quarantine and a swab test before they are allowed to move about freely.
Malyasians only have to do a swab test wait for the result and then they can travel.
the helicopter will be carrying 8 Malaysians and 1 Englishmen we have been offshore in a covid free enviroment for a minimum of 5 weeks.
I will be the only one in an enforced quarantine even though we are on the same unit and the same helicopter. I will get a tracking band on my wrist and escorted to a quarantine hotel. The Malaysians will have a swab test then wander around labuan for the 3 days to recieve the results.
To say the least I am not happy.

Oh yes and room service from the duty free shops is also allowed so you dont have to pay hotel prices for a bottle of Vodka.

I am afraid that this virus will be even more virulent second time around. The numbers are rising again and our leaders seem to be immobilised. they are still not giving clear messages or even acting in our best intentions.

Here’s one for you in today’s selfish Britain, I got told today a large company is on its arse, fucking really struggling, the workers under the new directives have to go off sick if they meet the criteria, low and behold many appear to do so, little do they know this could and probably will close said company due to the sickness rates and a lesser level of productivity and production, before guidelines came out there was a 3% sickness rate and low level of confirmed cases, now there is a 20% sickness rate and about 5% from that confirmed cases of corona directly or through family members.
This says to me since the new company policy has come out people thought they’d do a Brit circumvent the rules and be an arsehole, little do they know it could be the longest 14 days self isolation they know.
The solidarity won’t be there next time around.

No, I was told this after a dump run this morning by Otterspool prom, its stands to reason, people swinging the lead or being cautious will put companies at risk, its not rocket science, the short sightedness is disturbing though.
