According to the story he was at an Independence Day piss up on 4th July with the US ambassador, several cabinet ministers and his son, who is Steve Bannon’s representative in South America. Old Darwin would have been spoiled for choice!

Well this weekend sees Lady Slowlane adding another 12 months to her age count, although of course as “a Lady of a certain age” adding those 12 months to the count is purely optional.
On Sunday we have made a reservation at a local hostilerary and as befitting the special day I’ve instructed our Ostler Chambers, (he’s a man of many parts) to prepare Dobbin and Prancer and the Shooting Brake to take us there. We will of course be wearing masks throughout our stay and the staff have assured us our table will be cordoned off and the massed throng held at a safe distance should we need to remove the masks to consume lunch.

Despite Gove saying we don’t need masks just two days ago, we now seem to have a govt leak (again) at 10.30pm to say we do

To be fair, he said he thought we could rely on the public to use common sense.
I went to a supermarket today, after the news this morning and about 50% of staff had masks on and about 30% of customers. A reminder that the beach mentality is alive and well
Also to be fair … the rule is from next week ! The great British public will ride it out to the last minute. Have you seen the #bollockstoyouimnotwearingamask shite on social media ? Beggars belief.
