The US has passed 100,000 deaths today, a grim statistic.
Another oddity here is the comment Cummings made in his press conference that he’d been writing about the threat of Coronavirus for some time, ergo he wouldn’t have advocated for a herd immunity strategy.
It turns out that the only reference in his blog (it could be that he’s written about it elsewhere) was made in an article from last year that was edited on his return to work after his Durham trip.
So, he said that he’s written about the dangers over a year ago.
The article that he wrote a year ago contained no reference to Coronavirus until he edited it mid April.
Why do that?
The guardian reporting on the blog edit, credit the chap in the above tweet as the first person to spot it. Given that I linked his tweets here very soon after he tweeted them, I’m basically his assistant. He’s like Batman and I’m Fatman and we’re taking the cum out of Cummings
Dominic Cummings faces questions over altered virus blogpost
I’ve waited decades for the worst Prime Minister in fifty years and then three come along one after the other.
Correct me if I am wrong but aren’t you supposed to get any problems with your vision checked before you drive? I don’t think a trip to a beauty spot quite covers it
I am pretty certain in the small print of the rules and regulations (if you cant read the small print you are not allowed to drive anyway) it says any eyesight problems have to be checked by a doctor or opthamolagist and certifed as being fit to drive before you do so.
If anything is going to nail Cummings, its this lame arsed eyesight shite
He could have probably weathered the storm otherwise
Lewis Goodall is one of the best political journalists out there - both on screen and on social media.
He’s nailed it.
Very good… but they could not resist using the ‘classic’ Stevie Wonder gag to represent the blind
Well he’s had all of that thrashed out of him.
More easing here, Cimemas Theatres & new rules for Pubs
You need to read the full thread. It’s amusing despite being an accurate account of the Cummings affair.
