So Iām going to assume that after my last computer-y response to this thread, and lack of responses thereafter, that it has slowly dawned on @CB-Saint, @Bucks and @Numptyboi that they might have been badly advised on computers.
No hard feelings this end. In fact, if you ever want to bullshit-test a future computing quote you get, run it past me and Iāll let you know if youāre about to have your pants pulled down or not.
The great frame up of the British public begins.
Curse those Londoner bastards for not driving around in the cars they donāt own.
Not at all - just canāt be arsed to argue with you
However if you want to claim victory, fill your boots, Iām off to run a small business.
Hereās your medal
Yep, see the tweet that brought this to my attention.
Fair enough. Run along and get all that important backup server and colocation you need, and do try to remember while there is very little indeed that I am an expert on, computers do fit into that very little indeed.
Consequence of twenty years professional experience and thirty odd years of dicking about with them in general.
The next time youāre bamboozled by a shark circling your small business, feel free to give an expert a call.
You really are a sanctimonious cunt sometimes
Sometimes?
I must be slipping.
If Iām only whipping it out when people slink off after talking bollocks in my professional field, I really must be slipping.
Fergus Walsh at the top of his gameā¦or this is so far from logical that nobody could have answered it without say āI donāt fucking know. It makes no sense!ā.
ā¦you could think about having a window open
LOL.
It should be noted that this is the three months to March - just one week into the formal lockdown.
Car sales are down as well. Plus, I hear the airlines are reporting a slight drop in passenger numbers.
I wonder whatās going on?
The bit that I thought worthy of comment was thisā¦
I know. But Iād have thought itās going to be more like half for the next quarter, with massive chunks of the economy simply shut down.
Very good!
Not at all. Youāll have to excuse my lack of correct terminology here as iām no expert, but we invested heavily on providing an off site server based system for the company which works well. All staff who are not furloughed have been working happily at home (when they can) or on site. It costs a fortune, but is a commitment we made. But it doesnāt mean we can do everything from home. Strangely enough you cannot dig a fucking hole and fill it with concrete from your bedroom.
Oh, and on "You carry on with your āessential worksā, whatever the fuck they are." - does working to provide NHS facilities including helping transform part of a GP Surgery to enable a mobile covid testing centre to be established, suit your criteria?
I hope Iām as fit as that at 53.
Thereās no way heās 100.
Heās a blagger. Tells everyone heās 100, gets pints bought for him, gets shopping collected for him.
Heās been telling the lie for so long heās even got loads of anecdotes.
Ask my mother she was there at the time.
Four kids all pensioners.
Bollocks I say. Heās 62 and only just saw the Falklands War.
When all this is over, this will be the focus of the public enquiry.
This is the thread heās reading.
Itās fucking criminal.
