I like that the BBC are FINALLY getting with the picture⦠IGNORE Government data as it is impossible to be consistent with how deaths are recorded and simply look at the total numbers rof ADDITIONAL deaths over the seasonal weekly average and you get a tour picture of the Government incompetence and failure to act⦠as well as that it is STILL too fucking early to ease lockdownā¦
Firstly, to dispel the myth that schools closed and teachers arenāt working. They didnāt and they are.
Our school has been open every weekday since the lockdown and my colleagues and I worked through our usual half-term holidays to provide respite for carers and consistency for the children.
The point being, weāre not shirkers. Teachers are VERY concerned about children missing school. VERY concerned. Teachers give a shit. Espcially in Primary.
So read this message from a Head (not my Head) with all this in mind. Also, consider that before the statement was made on Sunday, then clarified on Monday, neither Headteachers nor unions had been consulted.
And therein lies the problem, because rational thought process would agree with you⦠but unless its mandated, there are many conga-loving-lockdown-breaking folks out there desperate to respond to the ambiguity in the Government guidance / euthanasia experiment by doing as they pleaseā¦
I think the important, and I suspect repeated thing, is the complete lack of trust in the government. Cherts is far from unique in his concerns, and when public trust hits these levels, quite justifiably I might add, and every message from the government is suspect, itās just contributing to the problem.
