My view has alway been that these things should be marked in a more sombre mood⊠remembering those who died and being grateful for their sacrifice. I know this is celebrating the END of them war and all that, but always found the word âcelebratingâ should not really be associated with war⊠as LITSL mentions, to do it on a day we now another 500-600 people will lose their lives, some of which unnecessarily has the Government not looked at this with gleeful opportunism and TBH jingoism (we wonât cower to this thing like those Europeans are doing/Britsh pluck got us through the Blitz and all⊠etc (with nod to The Observer))⊠The thought of Boris parading himself like Churchill (his spin doctors already in action with tales of his brave battle for Oxygen⊠) will make me throw up.

Airline group says proposed quarantine will âeffectively kill air travelâ
Airlines have hit back at UK Transport Secretary Grant Shappsâ suggestion that a compulsory 14-day quarantine could be imposed on anyone arriving in the country.
Industry group Airline UK, which represents British Airways, Easyjet, Virgin Atlantic, Ryanair and other UK-based airlines, said a 14-day quarantine period âwould effectively kill air travelâ.
Shapps told the BBCâs Andrew Marr Show that he was âactively looking at these issuesâ, so that when infection rates in the country are under control, âweâre not importingâ.
Tim Alderslade, Airline UK chief executive, said a quarantine would âcompletely shut off the UK from the rest of the world when other countries are opening up their economiesâ and described the possible quarantine measure as a âblunt toolâ
Two comments on this.
- The funding system for the NHS is BROKEN, and is no longer fit for purpose - He gets that right.
- He is a cunt if he thinks the answer lies i a two or there tiered system based on private top ups⊠that is the road to treatment you can afford⊠usually pain, suffering nd death if you canât
There is a third way which is a regulated âtax-basedâ insurance⊠someone as smart as Karol should know it if he was not obviously auditioning for an advertising role for US based private health providersâŠ

Why we spend so much effort celebrating death is a concern and so is the tie in of the willing destruction of millions of lifeâs(weâre not supposed to talk about that yet. The narrative hasnât been set).
