Uh oh

A long read but again a technical look at the effects of the virus, how some people crash and others don’t. And a new word for us Cytokines.

Yeah, how are their mates doing with all those deals?
Honestly, you could NOT make this shit up

:lou_facepalm_2:

I may true but

I always see a big red flag when someone starts with “I promise I am not making this up
”

Especially on twitter

Sorry Phil but cytokines is not a new word

and in contrast

I can understand that. However, you could always follow the link that the information is taken from - that way you can disregard the fact that it’s from Twitter, and indeed the “I’m not making this up” bit. Here it is:

It was just an observation in the wording

It the same when a salesman says “to be honest
” you know bullshit is coming

Might be time to furlough some of the journalists

My first thought was “no shit”

They need lessons in extracting the ‘so what’ message - which should be the headline.

The social and economic impact of this decline, presenting new analysis would make it more compelling

I hate the word promise. I remember a former boss using the phrase promise-keepers.

I pointed out that people only use the word promise if they’ve failed at delivering something before.

He dropped the use of the term promise-keeper

To me it is.
:lou_sunglasses:
And as it is not a word associated with beer or football most of my mates had never heard of it

Criminal negligence at the very least.

Without going all conspiratorial does anyone else feel a slight unease at the remarkable coincidence of a detailed report like this coming out a few months before just about everything they were warning about coming to pass? It’s almost as if it were expected. Surely not!

Weird seeing 2m distancing queues outside an H&M store on the news, but they are easing up a bit.
Rule is stores in high street over 100m2 can open but not in Malls.
Also some positive news, tentative approval for football to restart before end of May, again expected to be behind closed doors though.
