I keep seeing tweets by companies saying they have equipment but ignored by government/NHS England.

Hospitals will just start bypassing PHE and Government. Some are already going straight to suppliers. Some have also been washing gowns for a while. Unfortunately most types disintegrate after 1 wash.
PHE and our fuckwit government are not fit for purpose.

Sadly, in the real grown up world these figures are absolutely meaningless now. In European countries hospital deaths and care home/community deaths are about 50/50, no reason to think we would be different so the realistic death rate is probably north of 30,000 already. I saw a chart this morning showing the UK at the bottom of the WORLD table for the amount of testing being done. Anchored right at the bottom. Shocking. Without an understanding of who has or hasn’t got it/had it, impossible to even begin to have a gradual and sensible lifting of emergency measures. It’s almost as if our leaders want as many people to be infected for as long as they can get away with it. Herd immunity still the order of the day from our so called leaders, despite their denials and bare faced lies on the subject. And, it must be said, to the surprise and bemusement of much of the civilized world, who were under the misapprehension that we shared the same civilized values regarding protecting the welfare of the old, the sick and the weak in society. Quite apart from protecting the front line health workers, who, let’s face it are being increasingly abandoned to their fate by this morally bankrupt government.

Phew, that’s a relief.
Unfortunately the NHS uses 155000 per day.
