:covid_19: đŸ˜· đŸ„ Corona Virus the thread for all your fears ❓

Certainly in poor taste.

But I think the tide might be turning against Johnson as #butcherboris is currently trending on Twitter.

A very dramatic picture that shows perhaps one tenth of one percent of what these people go through for us

I think it’s fair to say that three years of brexit have removed or emasculated most of the political talent this country has at its disposal, we’ve been left with the dregs. I can’t think of any other circumstances under which boris johnson could possibly be leading the nation, and he only had the rest of the dregs to choose his cabinet from.

He’s had some weird honeymoon period through this ‘aided’ by his own corona bout but once the general population actually see what’s going on, how genuinely at risk they are and then get scared, things could turn toxic very quickly against boris and his crew.

Yet bumbling Trump keeps getting higher ratings.
Strange
At least we voiced incredulity at the shamboluc& delayed reaction of them.

Oh & these times should they not be called Gregg’s? Calling them dregs does disservice to the last drops of wine in my evening £1.98 bottle of wine

Excoriating.

Looks like everyone has been waiting for him to come out of intensive care before unloading.

His ratings have fallen as a result of Corona handling

Well said. It’s always someone else’s fault with this lot, for at least three weeks we are being told on a daily basis at the briefing that PPE equipment is being ramped up and will be delivered to NHS staff next week. Now saying that there is plenty of PPE, so presumably the doctors and nurses at the sharp end who are saying otherwise are lying. Accounts of them having to use bin liners etc are more lies presumably. Sending these people in to deal with this virus without PPE amounts to asking them to possibly volunteer for suicide. In government minister’s desperation to avoid blame for the years of running down the NHS to the point where it is stripped to the bone, their default position is to lie. We deserve better.
To Tory voters at the next election.
Stay Home.
Protect The NHS.
Save Lives.

One third of all Corona deaths in UK are non white people

Whatever Priti Patel was doing in exile, it wasn’t practicing reading in public.
She has the bedside manner of Shipman, the people skills of a doorstop, and if you look for emotion behind that frosty exterior, you’ll discover that her eyes are indeed dead.
Her approach today is gloss over the carnage, let’s just bang up criminals.
Do not play her at poker.

Or do anything that sounds similar.

BBC’s Shukman tried to nail her on a date for when PPE would be available to frontline workers in sufficient numbers.

She waffled. He asked her again in his follow-up for a date. She waffled.

Channel 4 - Tried to push her to apologise to NHS staff for the damage they believe has been caused by lack of PPE.

She waffled. He pushed again saying “So you are apologising for the lack of PPE
?”

She managed to say “I’m sorry
that people feel that way”

Fuck me! Playing word games when people are dying.

Oldest trick in the book when a political apology is requested - I’m sorry that you’re all wrong.

She waffled.
She is pointless.
She just ploughed through the daily PR tick box of unprecedented, Herculean effort, night and day etc.
As a country we look a little bit rudderless just as we approaching the choppy white water section.

Also this line of “Following the science” has been debunked as listening to just one or two scientists.

Lots of criticism that the pool of scientific advice they took at the beginning was too small and narrow.

That’s why we were heading for herd immunity until the data from other sources and other “science was followed”.

Following the science has just meant confirmation bias in a small pool of scientists.

917 new COVID-related deaths over the last 24 hours.

9875 total COVID-related deaths.

Saw someone on Twitter comment that of the 100,000 deaths worldwide, nearly 10% of them have come from the UK.

And we’re a fucking island.

Matt Hancock now telling frontline staff that there is sufficient PPE but that it is being overused.

Just seen him on the BBC explaining that it’s very difficult to know if the NHS staff that have died were infected at work (his fault) or outside of work (not his fault).

I guess that will be his defence.

Utter, utter cunt.

Well Sherlock, lets have a look at the evidence shall we. Were any of them in close contact with others suffering from the virus? :lou_facepalm_2:

OK, so here’s Matt Hancock dodging responsiblity for the deaths of 19 people from “the NHS family”.

Dodge #1 - We don’t know whether they contract the virus at work.
Dodge #2 - We have no evidence that lack of PPE was responsible.

The man is reprehensible.
