Itās now way too late for the one thing that would have made the most difference to this crisis: properly funding the NHS for the last 10 fucking years. Boris banging on about washing hands just doesnāt cut itā¦ Too few nurses. Too few ICU beds. Too few ventilators. Weāre doing a good job of slowing the fucker down but if the shit hits the fan we will be as fucked as Italy.

And if it does kick off, all this focus on COVID-19 deaths will not stop people dying from other diseases because they couldnāt get a bed in the ICU.
I imagine people are dying in Italy right now from treatable conditions that need the attention that only the ICU can provide.

I do think Italy may have dropped a bollock on the quarantine - all they did was encourage thousands of people to get out of dodge and head south - great way to ensure the rest of the country get it.
On the up side the UK can sit tight an watch how effective these measures are before doing the same.
On another note I am getting increasingly fucked off with the reporting on this.

Pub quiz night this evening. Our team comprises of an Italian with Parkinsons, another works at Porton Down, myself and two others in our early 70s and another in her 60s.

Well basically the guy I do pub quiz with, his wife works in Clarks in the local shopping centre, she was training someone tail end of last week who has test +ve.
PHE has closed Clarks for a couple of days to decontaminate it and my firend and his wife are self isolating, I havenāt seen him since last week so will not get it from him. He doesnāt know when or if they will get tested.
Thing is this is in the local shopping centre so heaven alone knows how many people she will have come into contact with.

The coronavirus in all probability started in China, there is a high probability the Chinese murdered a young doctor wanting to expose this news of the virus to the wider population, probability, its the most likely.
