TBH I r(mis)emembered it in a playoff game and thought it was against Derby in the Championsip playoffs…
proably because most of them got admitted as Covid patients eg eddie Large
I do miss him, he was great for saints and is clearly a lovely bloke. I do wonder that if I knew him in real life whether his endless positivity would start to get on my tits after a while
I work with a bloke who is always jolly and bubbly to the point of being fucking annoying. I said to some friends the it is weird for someone to be that upbeat all the time. Anyway, last month he was diagnosed with depression and is doing some CBT stuff.
How did your wank for Boris go last night? I trust you rose to the occasion and enhanced your standing in the neighbourhood.
I am hoping he did it standing in his bedroom window for all the neighbours to observe. Maybe they gave him a clap to?
Or got some help from Kyle Walkers cast offs & got the clap too
He was up against some stiff opposition, but managed to pull it off.
It was the talk of the town
936 UK deaths today - not good.
I bet it was!
It will continue to rise for at least a week
Fuck.
Which is why we have to look at a 3-7 day moving average when we look at the figures, I guess.
Yep, rolling averages are the only way to deal with it.
Oh absolutely, and that’s if we’re lucky TBH.
I would be interested to see statistics of deaths that have occurred to patients that were in hospital already and contracted Covid19.
I would say (from Mrs G) that figure is low.
Mrs feels safer at work as she knows where the Covid patients are. When they are tested positive they are isolated so much more likely to contract it in the community.
Cool, thanks.
It’s going to be interesting to see if we hit the Italy/Spain peak tbh - I’ve got my doubts we will, and I certainly hope we don’t.
Death figures will be the last thing to drop. Mrs isn’t even looking at them. The key thing is controlling the rate of increase in infections and making sure the NHS isn’t overwhelmed. At the moment, in Southampton at least, this is all hunky-dory and modelling is positive that this will remain the case.
Yep, it’s what we were all saying earlier in the thread, it starts with a drop of infections, then probably a week to 10 days after we should see the deaths start to drop.
Death numbers are only to track against other nations that are ahead of us.
Yep. Predictions here are that we will hit the peak 10-14 days after easter. The curve has definitely been flattened. This does mean that we will be dealing with Covid for longer but it will take up fewer resources and other hospital services (currently on hold as a precaution) can then be phased back in to run alongside.
