Burnley FC versus Southampton FC .. Build up and Match Thread

In short we haven’t replaced the palyers we have sold, where has the money gone, why haven’t we got better players and if we cant why don’t we say so?

Managed decline.

I don’t agree with this. I think this season he has added more agression to his game and is noticeably fitter.

If he had a yard of pace he would be a hell of a lot better but hey ho.

His dead ball delivery has been patchy this season.

Ok does he warrant a first team place in a team that strives to be in the top half of the table?

My first choice (of those available) for midfield would Be Romeu, Clasie and Davis.

Hojbjerg and JWP are perfectly good enough to rotate into this but I would suggest that rotating both in at once weakens us.

Both are what I would call weak players but stature, their technique is also shite. Everton and Koeman doing well I see with few new additions, just shows what you can do when you spend properly.

Nope. Not for me.

And Morgan has only just come on for Everton (with them already 2-0 up).

We can all see we need to buy a striker Bazza. Nobody is arguing with that.

Why wasn’t one bought in the summer, why the delay now? We’re weaker for selling, so we’re being punished for our success? If so what is the point, a new system has to be employed whereby we benefit and we progress.

If we win the League cup would that be a sign of progress?

No but I would surrender progress for silverware, the League is a sign of progression.

Could it not be argued that winning silverware would help us progress, i.e. helping us retain players/attract better players?

This pointless conversation will go on until the end of time.

Will time ever end?

If it does someone will deny it.

Does that make Klopp a cunt and his team a bunch of inbreds? Also have you ever stopped to think that Liverpool didn’t play well because we didn’t let them?

Om Mani Padme Hum…

No loyalty from the board to the fans? Remind me again where we have finished in the last three seasons, not to mention the last 7 seasons. Fuck me Barry, do you really feel hard done by?

Has it helped Leicester?

Yes - vardy signed a new contract rather than going to Arsenal (although that could just be the £100K he’s getting)

SOG you play the poster not the post lad, I said in some part but not all, did Everton play well or did we play poorly, same with West Brom? SOG you’re boring lad, stop snide bullying and read a post not the person posting it, its tiresome and frankly shite.

Yes. They kept their manager, and 2 of their star players, and have got through to the knockout stages of the CL.
