Attract players?

Leicester have spent big (which you have requested we do on another thread) this season, including £20m plus on Slimani (who I beleive we were rumoured to be interested in), they certainly didn’t manage that the season after they were almost relegated.

And Musa (£17m)

After they’ve sold big.

They sold one player big - Kante (£30m). After that theyve just sold Schlupp for £12m.

They’ve bought Slimani (£25m), Musa (£18m), Ndidi (£15m), Mendy (£13m)

Net spend is £23 Million and they have rected recently not just in the summer.

*Sigh*

The original point/posts were this…

gavstar originally wrote:

Could it not be argued that winning silverware would help us progress, i.e. helping us retain players/attract better players?

and then you said

Has it helped Leicester?

And then you were provided with lots of evidence that it has helped them through signings and keeping their two star players and you still cannot accept that (for once) you’re wrong about something.

What am I wrong about? We’ve failed to replace the players we’ve sold and haven’t reacted in the market, that may change but I fear were on the one our first then one in policy which if we’re selling for a profit means it is speculation and luck when we buy.

Now now Barry, we’re talking about Leicester currently (at your request) so let’s finish that conversation before we bring it back to Saints.

You don’t think the money offered helps, I am sorry your point is?

no one has a point, baz. You win. You won the football and Muslim debates.

Of course I think money offered helps, I have stated that quite clearly in an earlier post today. And I also think you know full well what my point is, maybe you should focus on your own train of thought and you won’t get quite so confused.

The point surely is, Leicester, after winning a big prize had the status and money to temp the relevant players, that they didn’t have before. Which then answers your question “Has it helped Leicester” with a big fucking YES.

Or am i missing something(this is also entirely possible).

I’m in a permanent state of confusion, that there I can not deny, I do however know money talks and no where moreso than football.

Pap, can we make sure this appears as some kind of signature on all of Bazza’s posts? Just in case any outsiders wander in.
