I’d rather not get baited into some sort of argument over here. There is enough of that elsewhere. I refute in the strongest terms the implication that I am against moderate Muslims as that is wholly untrue. I’ll leave it there though.

You seemed much more concerened about whether I was telling lies than you were about defending moderate Muslims. And I notice you seem to be avoiding the latest posts on the thread where some of the posters clearly have an issue with Muslims. Not there defending the moderates? Not there attacking the racists? I’ve got some sympathy with what I think SOG is getting at; I’ve remarked on it before. I don’t think Hypo is very brave over on TSW, and I often came away with the impression that he put perceived personal popularity ahead of consistency or integrity.
would you describe him as having a mental illness?

Bearsy, I dont have a problem with people disagreeing with me. That is was these forums are all about, an exchange of opinions. What I do object to is being trolled and that is what Hypo and his buddy were doing. In the early days of the Paris Massacre thread it started to become apparent that some posters had issues with Muslims, not just the terrorists. It seems that Fry and Hypo thought the bigger issue was to go after me personally rather then deal with the issue of anti Muslim sentiments. When I eventually just came right out and said that there were racists on the thread I was then hounded to name them. I dont think it was too hard to work out who they were and from todays posts it is absolutely obvious, yet it was more important to have a pop at me apparently. Hypo has avoided the thread like the plague today as has Fry, although in fairness he might be away from his PC today whereas we know that Hypo is about.
And yet, this is still 100x classier than some of the stuff on there.
Inclined to agree though. Perhaps take it to the beef thread.
