:brexit: Brexit - The Ramifications

It is unquestionable that aspects of the Leave campaign were socially noxious. Yet although I voted Remain, I’ve been surprised by how quick others have been to label – both before and after the vote – Leave campaigners “uneducated”, or “xenophobic”. Social networks have been the most common platforms for levelling such accusations, and it inhibited some Leave voters from sharing their views completely; both online and in public.

Perhaps paradoxically, this might have been Remain voters’ downfall. Although we can passionately and fervently disagree, we shouldn’t see shaming people into silence as a goal; for many reasons, but most importantly, because it’s detrimental. The “Shy Tory” phenomenon is another case in point. What it does is limit the extent to which we can change others’ opinions. It fosters the sort of disconnect the recent referendum has unearthed.

Love that song.

Fuck off you odious twat, what do you fucking know about it…

Oops, sorry, back to Sotonians mode

No I don’t think so, it’s still very gentlemanly debate, both sides getting flustered with the each other and people stepping out for a time to get a breather.

It’s all good!!

You of all people should understand it. I gave you proper shit before the election for your voting intentions and I reckon the only thing I achieved was to cement a vote I’d sooner not see you make.

Same thing went on with the Remain campaigners. Racist. Thick. Whatever. All self-defeating, then and now.

No-one is seriously going to think I’m a Thatcherite because Rallyboy says so. They will perhaps ask “why is pap getting called Thatch” by Rallyboy, and they’ll probably reach the same conclusions as I did.

pap is not for turning.

True story. He really doesn’t give a fuck about the poor, the needy, the country as long as he feels validated that he’s won an argument even those the vast majority just think “what a cunt”.

Don’t have to justify myself to you, matey - but for what it’s worth, I give thousands to people poorer to myself every year. Mostly family hit by these conditions, but also tons to charity.

When you’ve finished having your little tantrum over not having a polished turd commanding the Labour Party, perhaps you’ll muck in with the post Brexit solution too.

I give to charity, my two main ones are the RSPCA and Amnesty Intl, good for the soul.

A new one has started that I am going to give loads to a month and I suggest you do, its the Barry Sanchez loves a whopper community action fund, get on board guys.

Why are we showing off about how much money we give to Charity? It’s one step up from saying “I’ve got loads of black friends”.

Because nasty ol’ Flahute came in and made the assertion that I didn’t give a fuck about the poor.

We’re not making a big thing of it.

When I used to go to McDonalds, and got quarterpounder meal that cost £4.98, I used to put the 2p change in the charity box. I don’t do it anymore tho cos I don’t go McDonalds cos glutens, so all the charities is miss out now RIP

I thought you were barred from McDonald’s due to misuse of the free WiFi and for that unfortunate incident with the fryer!!
