Hungary to hold EU referendum in October – this one on enforced migrant quotas.
–
OK it’s only on enforced migrant quotas but it’s the tip of the iceberg.
Express (sorry) article here

Except those leading lights in the Leave campaign also said no rush. They needed to get their resignations / not standing speeches in first. The whole thing is a clusterfuck
Thanks for sharing BBB.
As I said his view on the negotiations was highly subjective and not particularly evidence-based.
Regarding debunking Remain lies, to be fair to the man he did say at the start of the video that most of the lies from Leave were based on constitutional law - as as such easy to debunk.
What type of lies did you see from Remain? Were they more opinions, or could they be debunked? (not being provocative. Genuinely interested).
Financial latest -
_Sterling sank to its lowest value against the American dollar for 31 years after plummeting by 1.5 cents, _12% lower than before Brexit.
Thank god it’s just a minor wobble and no one is to blame.
Sterling slumps to it’s lowest level since snapchatting his bling toilet. Great news for us exporters though, the pound has been too high for too long.
Is an overvalued £ good?
I guess it could be if you are linked to money in any way…
But if you live in the woods and worship fairies you are probably quids in right now, what with the price of twigs and buttercups.
How’s life in Remainia, Rallyboy?
Redundancies, withdrawn job offers, deals collapsing, it’s so good no one is to blame and no one could have forecast this.
That shit was happening whilst we were in there, Tata? Ford? Load of old cobblers.
It sounds like a dark place, Bucks. I hear 52% of the people in Remainia are racist bastards and all, or at least make really racist bastards think the half the country are racist bastards.
The government certainly didn’t have a plan for it, did they? The thing is, I had a post-Brexit plan and didn’t send it in. I assumed they’d have either outcome of a binary vote covered. They assumed, and never wavered from this assumption, that they were always going to win the poll.
Blame me for my one vote. Go on. I’ll take it as a badge of honour from my Remainiac friends, losing all sense of reason, living in a country which no longer exists and seems a lot darker than the one I’m living in. Because blaming works. It really really does. Click your heels together, blame three million times, and I’m certain that all of the issues that we’ve seen will simply go away.
Of course, sarcasm levels were set to dripping in the above paragraph. Blaming people isn’t going to solve anything. It may make you feel slightly better in the short term. Achieves nowt.
As for myself, I have little time for these things. I’m getting busy to operate in the post referendum settlement. That could mean Brexit in the Autumn. That could be any of the maniacs the Tory party are putting up. I accept that any of them could bring some fairly terrible consequences in their wake, but they will also be opportunities to oppose and build an alternative platform.
It hasnt got anything to do with being a sore losing but it has everything to do with believing this has been a very poor decision made by many people for the wrong reasons. Politically immature? Really? I have just come back from Crete where every person asked me, when they heard I was British, was what on earth happened here? They were genuinely shocked. Even the leaders of the Leave campaign didnt believe that they would win. Why would they think they were going to lose if the rest of us are so Politically Immature? Is Nigel Farage Polically Mature? Did you see his speech to his EU peers? As for forgetting about democracy, it was interesting to here that UKIP were of the opinion that anything than a 60/40 vote or above for Remain would not be a strong enough manadate to stay. That seems to have changed now they have won. Funny thing, democracy. It seems to change depending on your circumstances. The word clusterfuck sums up nicely what we have now. All thanks to a referendum that we should never have had.
It politically immature yes, yes it is. A vote has happened and you don’t like the result, this reminds me of the Eddie Izzard gag concerning flags.
I’d rather we have a poor deal and struggle than for us to fail to accept a vote, what have we come to?
An undemocratic society? This is exactly what the EU is, people have to grow up and accept it, my neighbour was a huge remain campaigner but he said we’ll have to man up and accept it and I wholly agree.
And as for Crete, go to Greece and ask what they think of the EU. Creete relies on tourism and couldn’t give a shit about the mainland, that seems like total EU thinking to me.
I stayed off this thread after it went beyond debate, but when I pop back in I find that nothing has been learned.
Markets have struggled, jobs have been lost, the vast majority of the business community is concerned about our economic future, many Brexit voters feel duped, and yet the only people who still think this is a good idea are the far right, a couple of misinformed Essex pensioners, and approx three people on here.
I admire their blind optimism, it’s good to stand up for what you believe in - especially if you believe in being brave enough to admit that you didn’t realise the full ramifications.
That would be brave and would impress me.
I was less impressed with the poster who made up a story to impress people on here, something I personally know was absolute bollocks.
Nice try, but they picked the wrong subject matter, some of us are informed.
It told me much about them.
So a brave handful are still defending their decision, even after their heroes Boris and Nigel have given up on the dream of a free Britain - free to stagnate quietly in a self-imposed exile from world trade while a Tory government calls the shots, unrestricted by human rights regulations.
Yeah, top result that.
And if we are allowed to call some of the voters thick, and I think we should be, looking at the stats, some are fuckwits of the highest order who shouldn’t be trusted to sit the correct way on a toilet let alone decide our future economic policy.
Finally, if you want to defend your decisions - and that goes whether you voted for Labour, a new away kit, Brexit, or for Leona Lewis, carry on, that’s what a democracy is about - but please accept that you are partly responsible for the outcome.
Today’s didn’t see that coming effect.
Saints now may have to pay more for their foreign import replacements.
Equally our salary offerings have fallen making a European salary more interesting.
Thought that was far more interesting than the current Capital flight from Germany as their wonky banks look set to start charging negative interest rates, which could accelerate a total collapse of Europe.
Oh and RB? I know a lot of very highly educated Leave voters. The EU needed some reforms. They had their chance now they could lose the lot before we get to Article 50 or the grand depart on 2 years time
Well, as an outer, I am currently reaping what I have sown. The price of a decent Chianti is making my balls ache down here in Tuscany.
salut
We had some power within the EU, a veto, and the opportunity to attempt reform, we now have no power.
We didn’t even get into the last meeting.
This is the Brexit Ramifications thread Baz, page 38 now, keep up.

Indeed, you’re one of the 33,577,342 people that took part in the poll, or part of the 13m or so that didn’t bother to vote.
