As a trust level 2 (or scum as the @TheSoviet, the staff and @TheOwners call you) you get 50 per day. I’ve increased that to 100.
Yes there is , but @pap believes it looks like this
I’ll ask one more time.
@pap when you say you’ll be ok, do you include the most vulnerable, are or you just concerned about yourself(very middle class tory)?
@saintbletch if I offend everyone is that ok?
Have i forgot anyone?
Are you after something like this?
Ta!
What’s the acronym? Not sure it’s an acronym - maybe something else, I’m pished (@Fowllyd ?) PPPGSR =
Piss Poor Planning Gives Shit Results
I’ve had a little review of my recent posts here.
At no stage have I said “I’ll be alright”. I did say that I could wait the year it would take to see @Bathsaint’s portents of doom to be unravelled by reality.
I rather think you’ve gone off on one there, @Saint-or-sinner.
Would you still like me to explain things as a “very middle class Tory”?
(I’ll have to tell my bank manager that - he’ll be thrilled. Won’t actually be backed up by any evidence, but I’m sure if I tell him it came from the Remain camp, he’ll believe it anyway)
“I fancy my chances” were the words i was referring to. Very individualistic. If i have misinterpreted your meaning, i apologise. If not, what’s happened to you?
You might also remember that i didn’t vote and accept the result, but that doesn’t mean i’ll ignore the coming nightmare for the worse off in society, if the bonfire boys get their way.
Its does does sound all a bit '‘I’m all right Jack’ does it not?
I would also suggest that the real impact will take more than 12 months - it will be 3-5 years for it to hit home… as it its did post 1979 as Thatcher dismantled communities - real devastation was not seen in 1980, but in post Falkland War years and mid 80s… as we transitioned to a service industry. I want to know what happens when our service industry struggles due to more challenging and complex issues doing business with our current largest customer base in Europe.?
I want to know what phoenix like industries are rising from the ashes to create a surplus in the balance of payments, Fish? Steel? Coal?Automotive?
Its not about ‘fear’ or ‘project doom’ but a grim reality that ‘going it alone’ might appeal to a few ‘buccaneers’ but is not only irresponsible, but truly does lack insight into how impossible it is in a modern global economy and who will be most affected - the poor and venerable… please also remember, you don’t build a strong economy through simply putting British teenagers back in shitty low paid jobs currently done by a few Eastern Europeans - its built through high quality manufacturing, and services that can be easily traded globally… and NO ONE has indicated how that will happen, its a fucking pipe dream of shit
Someone should have shown number six to Cameron…
… number 10 made me laugh…
You have misinterpreted my meaning. I accept your apology.
I simply asserted that I had no interest in debating @Bathsaint’s portents of doom, nor do I have any interest in your own dark forecasts, that I can wait a year to see if you’re right, and I fancied my chances of proving the pair of you wrong with the Summer 2019 reality.
You’re reading things no-one wrote.
Good man.
I hope my fears are unfounded, but without an election and change of government, believe they are valid(the last 8 years back that up).
Summer next year? Why do think all the potential shit will happen so fast (or not)?
I was thinking more along the lines of a currency run straight away, followed by slower decline, as we get bent over by a succession of countries/trading blocks.
Pessimistic i know, but am struggling to see it any other way
This government would have gone down much sooner if so much political energy had not been used on fighting a campaign already lost. As it is, they, with the unwitting connivance of the EU, have pretty much left no deal Brexit as the only option.
I do see positives in that. The Conservatives have shown to be utter failures, in terms of preparation, negotiation and implementing a Brexit position which would have accorded positions of strength. I think we’re due a general election in the next year. May’s government was saved by the bell, and they even tried to ring the summer holidays in earlier, so precarious was it in its final days.
Conservative grass roots members hate May. If you think last year’s party conference was bad, this will be even worse. I’m genuinely anticipating widespread heckling from conference attendees that aren’t comedians on a wind up.
The problem with this no deal Brexit is that it is the result of incompetence. We should have planned for this from the start. It would greatly have increased our negotiating position, and it is what the British people voted for.
Nevertheless, I think it will give an incoming Corbyn government the agency to realise its vision where some form of membership might not. A lot of things need to change in the Labour Party for that to happen. Still, one problem at a time, eh?
I agree. There is no sovereignty ideology behind the actions of people like Rees Mogg. People like him are the real elites of capitalism that always have wealth and ways of accruing obscene amounts of it no matter who is in charge of the country or what system we live under. The elites of the world work across international borders to ensure they maintain their wealth and power and all Brexit is for these fuckers is another opportunity to look out for them and their families for many hundreds of years to come.
JRM is a disaster capitalist.
He knows a no Deal Brexit will cause chaos and economic hardship, it’s what he’s banking on.
Look at the books his father wrote, they are literally about this exact thing.
Japan to make British navy ships
I don’t understand this. Surely we should be giving British companies these contracts? After Brexit we might to prop up our own industries, not send them down the pan by supporting foreign companies?
pesky foreigners steeling our jobs… no worries, post Brexit we will build the ships for the world cheaper tan anywhere else…
Actually more of a national security imperative. Do we really want other countries building our weapons of war? Particularly something like a ship, which at best, involves giving a rival nation access to your complete schematics and at worse, would allow unscrupulous nations (basically any of them) from making good on that intelligence.
Yep them Japs - got to watch them… seriously Pap that could have come from the Daily Hate…
I think your comment qualifies better. I was speaking about the principle in general. You’re the fellow generating imagined and quite unjustified anti Japanese headlines. That really is their thing.
As these vessels are only for the RFA they are only freighters and tankers that actually have no weapons systems installed on them and at present the RFA boats dont have armour plated / or special steel to make them run lighter and faster. So with any Govenment / company you want. To purchase something go and get three quotes and accept the cheapest if it meets the criteria at present the Japanese are undercutting the Koreans and the Chinese in boat building…
But this again will be quashed by the MOD under grounds of national security. They will not divulge which colour /grade of grey paint they use.
NB if you want to see the design and specs of all the warships go and read the Janes Ship information directory has a lot of useful info.
It was a satirical (although more than not really just sarcasm) comment …
