haha oh dear! Is it too late to back out??

I’m only assuming I get EU greencard tbh. I’ve seen it works like that in Movies. I should prob check myself just to make sure!

Your 51/49 schizophrenic opinion is shared by many here, but this thread is not about rights or wrongs and it’s certainly not about Brexit or Remain.

It’s about stamina and, as a Fighting Talk fan you’ll appreciate this, it’s about defending the indefensible - no matter which side of the argument or political spectrum you thought you were on.

You’ll see.

BTW, whatever you do @gwc , never let your Ukranian G/F get into @goatboy van.

Let @saintbletch ?

I don’t think let is even an option, let implies permission is sort by the @goatboy

Good qualification, @btripz .

Perhaps I should have said don’t let your Ukranian G/F drink @goatboy Rohypnol*.

* Goat’s Rohynol is not a brand of rum. Although it might as well be.

Plenty of Fish.PL?

Not to mention the new Innovation Fees on everything announced today

And rumours VAT will double next January.

5% more like 15% everywhere

Imho I think you lot messed up.

Brexit was the right choice st the time simply because the rump EU blocked change.

But now with the Visegrad 4 possibly becoming 5 tgere would have been a serious chance to lead the charge against superstars neo-whatever.

Now it’s up to Hungary and maybe Austria & Poland

Ho hum

Stiff upper lip old chap. And make yourself a nice cup of tea. There is a bumpy road ahead.

Let’s have it then.

I think we’re in the eye of the storm at the moment. Pound dropping in value, yet unable to access cheaper markets due to EU’s protectionist market.

So we’ve got our money worth less, and the market we buy the vast majority of our imported food from includes the cost of a woefully inefficient agricultural regime. As does our own tuck,

Pretty much made our minds up this last week or so.

Time to get out of here.

We’d prefer a managed exit strategy in a few years time, but that is not always possible, but the key issue now is that once Brexit is done, one of us is going to have “status” issues depending whether we end up in Poland or UK.

My Middle Son is currently sorting out his German Citizenship, Youngest is still a couple of years short of qualifying, both work there and don’t want to come back.

Complete clusterfvck to be honest.

They have you over a barrel as well, still can’t start getting food imports from the likes of Eastern Med for Veggies, Kenya, S.America and Aus, which would be more economic for the bulk stuff and leave the Brit farmers to grow the niche/quality stuff for premium prices.

Still, look on the bright side, we will be getting blue passports.

Like I said, eye of the storm.

Money is worth less than it was, yet we still have to buy all our grub from the international equivalent of Marks and Spencer. But fuck it eh?

It’s only the poor that are massively affected, and they don’t even buy from real Marksys, the soft bastards.

:lou_wink_2:

Just as food production worldwide is getting hit by global warming, looking anywhere in the southern hemisphere is stupid, as it’s more likely as each day passes that they won’t be able to feed themselves in 10-20 years, might be as little as 5, especially if science is correct and we are hit by a 30ft sea level increase in a very short space of time(history proves it rises in massive pulses, not gradually), still what do the experts know(we have already caused this, just waiting for nature to surprise us with when).

Do you think we could try and feed ourselves(apart from all the things we can’t grow here), because forcing ourselves to be dependent for food on areas who’s whole ecosystems are collapsing seems really really dumb(and suicidal).

Oh, and bringing in North American gm crops will finish off our own ecosystems.

Where else do you want to shop?

Here’s why you don’t want to shop for our meat in America.

The difference in rates of antibiotic dosage rises to at least nine times as much in the case of cattle raised for beef, and may be as high as 16 times the rate of dosage per cow in the UK.

There is currently a ban on imports of American beef throughout Europe, owing mainly to the free use of growth hormones in the US.

Higher use of antibiotics, particularly those that are critical for human health – the medicines “of last resort”, which the World Health Organisation wants banned from use in animals – is associated with rising resistance to the drugs and the rapid evolution of “superbugs” that can kill or cause serious illness.

https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2018/feb/08/huge-levels-of-antibiotic-use-in-us-farming-revealed

So no steroid & antibiotic meat, or ecosystem destroying gm crops please, which means that there are quite a lot of countries that we really don’t want to buy their shit contaminated goods.

Most of this stuff is presently illegal in this country. What sort of idiot would want have the kind of “bonfire of regulations” needed to make it possible. You’d have to be thick enough not to have learnt anything from history and all the problems these dubious methods bring.

It’s Ok folks - as has been said we will have blue passports and control our borders which be more than adequent compensation for shit and expensive food and a growth forecast that is looking especially shut for the poorest areas of the country (who were promised much better times mostly by cunts like Moog who has massive investments in emerging market funds that would se major benefits from a hard brexit)

As every day goes by, I feel more saddened by what ‘we’ have done… seems a high price to pay for so called sovereignty…

Has anyone got a Torygraph subscription? If so can they quote this article please, I want to read it a little.

Thanks

@btripz

No @fatso not THAT sort of tight…
