Do I look foolish every time I mention a worst case assessment? Well if I do or dont, I really dont care, its a POV and that’s it. If folks are entertained by it, laugh at me or find me foolish, how does that effect me? not at all.
The fact you dont offer any insight as to why such things wont happen is for others to judge, but you seem to have become like Boris et al, you have convinced yourself so it must be true.
What you fail to recognise is that I and probably 99% of remainers who have deep concerns about the longer term implications of Brexit, are desperate to be proven ‘foolish’ We dont want any of the ‘fear’ to come true, and we desire all the things promised, all the ‘new opportunities’ all the rejuvenation of our industry and services, the reduction in poverty and a more egalitarian society - all the things that were were told were held back by the Shackles of the EU… I just dont believe it will happen and deep down, I suspect nor do you.
The difference between you and me is that you were prepared to pay the price of what we lose for your anti-EU principles - whereas I was not.
As mentioned above, you may think that all what we will lose is not worth bothering about as its just those travelling and middle classes who will be upset by the ‘ittle inconveniences’… but who are you to say what folks should and should not find important to them … even more so when we talk about aspiration of those stuck in the poverty cycle - some opportunities have now been closed, and how many more will be if we see the predicted cuts in University places as their funding dries up, or their fees become simply too much for those not supported by their family money?
I really do hope that the worst we endure going forward is a queue at passport control, but we have already seen this country become more comfortable with the views of Cummings than of Jeremy and if that does not concern you, then it should.
Whatever, it is incredibly naive if you believe that for many, Brexit was about sovereignty, and not about immigration, no matter how uncomfortable that may make you feel.

If I ever have a disagreement with any of those people, they’re disagreeing with me and what I think, not having a scrap with a phantom of their own creation.
That’s why by and large, people who have met up are a bit more chilled than people who have and tend not to fall out.
Decide what it is you’d like to do here Map. If the extent of your involvement is picking a fight with me everyday, fair dos, but I think the forum would be a better place if you just PM’ed the abuse.
