Mad I larf at least…however

That’s one hell of a step, especially considering that, as far as I remember, all EU law is going to be enshrined into UK law once we leave.

So, any changes to the current laws would have to be passed through parliament which, I concede, this bunch of fuckwits may well try. But, governments change, so the next government will change the laws again and again and again ad infinitum…

Well, that’s my simplistic take on it anyway…

So the latest tactics it likely to be

See if deal passes meaningful vote

If so, table amendments to hold a second referendum- deal or remain

This farce is far from over

It’s political popcorn time. Time for a fresh poll.

Is the United Kingdom going to leave the European Union on the 31st October.

  • Yes
  • No

There is some proper comedy today

We have the DUP complaining that this deal ruins the GFA despite voting against the GFA and never signing up to it

Then

You have Farage defending the Benn Act against Junckers comments re extensions

Your being a bit hard on them.
It’s been like this since the referendum was announced, so we could give them full marks for consistency if nothing else.
With you on this earlier comment.

Much bullshit still to be shouted :lou_facepalm_2:

It’s win/win for Boris Johnson and pals. If the deal goes through, he will have done what Theresa May could not do before him, get both Parliament and the EU to agree to a deal.

If it gets voted down by either, he can play the blame game, and potentially get us out on no deal.

The only way he fails is if we don’t leave on the 31st October.

Even if we don’t he wins… blaming the Benn Bill

Utter cunt, but a manipulative and clever one … which is why he is so dangerous, because in this way he endears himself to half the country who will ‘forgive’ his little faults and helping makes himself and mates richer… by whatever means… as Trump has done in US

One could almost assume this was his plan all along… and the country fell for it.

Boris Johnson couldn’t have achieved this on his own.

Turns out Dominic Cummings is Boris’ version of Clough’s Peter Taylor.

Speaking of Peter Taylors, happy birthday to @unionhotel, 65 today. Doesn’t look a day under 85.

He is effective if nothing else

It’s perverse isn’t it, but shows how the media control people’s thinking, even in the face of evidence to the contrary.
The fools voted down May’s deal(fair enough) and now hope to pass a worse deal(what behind that?), but somehow it’s a win(for 0.001% of the people cheering it). Which reminds me, must read Crace because it looks like he wrote it, it’s that far gone.
If parliament has any sense they will vote it down and the Benn bill will still be in force because of the Letwin amendment.
Anyone that then blames the opposition for opposing can go out and buy a dictionary(and if they are poor, thank their lucky star).

The bumbling cockwomble has played a blinder.
Astonishingly he stands at the door of greatness.
He needed A deal no matter how dreadful and by getting one he has undermined everyone.
Add to that the opposition Lib Dem & Labour were standing in a small indentation in the ground 90 days ago and have heroically dug a hole so deep for themselves they may never get out.

2 years of saying no backstop, well, it has gone & the great unwashed won’t understand why anyone now voting against the deal would do so. Voters will destroy anyone voting against now.

Utter bollox but utterly out politiced Parliament.
Still a clusterfvck, but well played you straw haired git

Its fucked up Labour in the North for sure, Farage will be looking very closely indeed.

Cummings?
I don’t think it’s as clear cut as you make out, but people’s stupidity appears to know no bounds so could be an interesting couple of weeks.

‘The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was to convince people he didn’t exist’

This has been the sad truth since the first rattling of ‘EU scepticism’ from deep within the shit filled bowels of the Tory party… never about principles or sovereignty or democracy or what is best for the country or its people… just a lust for power and the Opportunity that comes with it… by whatever means

Indeed they have played the perfect hand, win whatever the outcome. Maybe in hindsight the blame can’t be laid on those who were deceived by it, after all, they continue to deceive and manipulate whilst presenting the face of the saviour from the impotent ‘House’ …

… maybe the blame lies with those who saw it for what it was all along, but went along with it anyway justified by a token nod to ideals and principles that left this world long ago…

I would ask those who were desperate to ‘get their country back’, who exactly has it been delivered to? Not the people whose ‘will’ has been harnessed to make it happen, that’s for sure.
