Joking apart, the cynicism of the full-on Tory gaslighting campaign launched today beggars belief.
Johnson had no idea parties were taking place in his own house. The independent review will in fact show that there were no parties and even if there were Johnson had no idea and certainly wasn’t there. He may have dropped in and mistook it for a work meeting.
If the Civil Servants were holding parties, that is disgraceful and their heads will roll. Ridiculous to think any politician should take blame.

That’s a point in Johnson’s favour then, as far as I’m concerned. I place Cummings on about the same level as Alistair Campbell on the credibility scale, and I’d struggle to think of anyone I trust less than Campbell.
This, absolutely. Cummings is letting Johnson commit himself with lie after lie in his attempt to create a narrative before tearing it apart with more evidence.
