“Speaking from the Colosseum in Rome, he invoked the collapse of the Roman Empire as he said the world was “absolutely conniving in our decline and fall”.”

Emperor Nero fiddling while Rome burns springs to mind

Deflection tactics.

Marina Hyde, as she so often is, bang on the money. And funny with it.

“ blunderrhoea” :joy:

I was thinking the same thing

Any move the commissioner makes now will look politically motivated, and that gives them the excuse to vote it down

Would also explain why no10 are refusing to deny Paterson will get a hook up into the Lords

And Labour and particularly Rayner have fallen for it - instead of getting all frothy about Paterson, they should have gone for Boris first knowing that this report was coming down the pipe-

And to think people were giving Cameron the entitled Eton posh boy moniker - he has nothing on this twat

Ok, he’s no fan of the clown but damning nonetheless

I think we are witnessing the beginning of the end for Boris

He has pissed off an enormous swathe of his MPs and hiding from last nights debate is manna from heaven for his enemies. The press are rightly on his case.

I reckon there will be a poor showing in the 4 by elections for the tories - the reason will be his leadership and the party will move against him

Brexit has been pushed through and the pandemic is coming to an end - all the bad news can be blamed on Boris by his successor

John Major is a brilliant example of how utter mediocrity can be trumped by reassuring blandness and being in exactly the right place at exactly the right time while knowing exactly the right people. He adds absolutely nothing to any debate, merely spouts the bleeding fucking obvious in a way that suggests he’s imparting priceless pearls of searing political wisdom.

I’m not a fan. :unamused::grin:

Do you think they’ve both had their cock in a dead pig’s mouth then?

Both bullingdon so chances are good

Unfortunately in these times, the art of stating the bloody obvious is a good earner and a rare skill set

No way to talk about the fragrant Mrs Cameron.
