Because there is no-one to oppose him. So it’s probably worth giving a shit about the quality of the opposition. Barring a major precedent being broken, Keir will fight the next election. Boris will continue to get away with it.

Oh, I do. Can’t see anyone with enough credibility or ability to challenge the Tories though.
I really don’t think the distribution of the Labour result reflects that. The only places they’ve done well have got local figures that have bucked Keir’s trend of not opposing the Tories.
Corbyn successfully opposed the government a number of times. However, you need to try in the first place for that to work.
My daily drive has a registration beginning “BJ” which I initially found repugnant. Fortunately I quickly realised it was also the initials of an altogether more agreeable sexual practice.

It’s not really a debate about which type of socialism it is. If only it were that easy. The Labour right need to let go and admit they’re Tories.
You have sort of proved my point. You will never accept that there can be a centrist Labour Party - however that is the only way they will get elected
