The most telling bit in the Sunday Times expose was the observation that Johnson ādoesnāt do weekendsā, ie a lazy sod. I bet he is sitting in his dressing gown at Chequers, sipping champagne, watching the rest of his crew take it in turns every day to face the music and lie for England. I reckon he will keep his head down for as long as he can get away with it, in fact it wouldnāt surprise me at all if he decided to throw his hand in. This is not what he signed up to, he wanted to make jokes and be the guest of honour at parties and attend banquets in capitals around the world, impressing everybody with his daft Latin and Greek quotations and being mistaken for Churchill. Not this.
