Sport is wonderful.
This is probably the worst forum to say this, but I’ve stopped going to watch Saints and started watching non-league because I can’t be doing with all the angry cunts who think they deserve victory.
I just want to see people who are good at a thing doing the thing well. And I realise this indicates that I’ll never be non-league level. I’m 44 - I’ll never be any level.
I can’t stand to see cricket spoiled by armchair coaches and vicarious misery. Sure I’ve got opinions about who should be in the top order. I’m even pleased to hear your opinion. But if you make that experience a misery then you are so much worse than however bad you deem the team to be. Watching sport done is the only objective.
Anyhow, here’s the last hour again.

TBH I’ve not read all of the comments in the last bit of this thread. When you see Bazza making multiple posts without reply you know, despite it all he’s on one of his maniacal rants.
Anyway I thought it ironic to note the “20/20” shot selection that got us bowled out for 67 in the first inning, won it for us in the second. OK there was a little Test Match Cricket in the early stages of the second innings but apart from the result I don’t think there is much you can identify as a formula for success in the coming games.
Just a magnificent one-off.

Just a once in a lifetime moment that happens in sport.
No process, no formula, just fate and genius
I was listening to the commentary on TMS and fell asleep before the wickets started falling. I woke up with Stokes and Leach at the crease and about 50 runs required.
Six after four then six tap it and get the single the last few overs were brilliant cricket and the wife got woken up when we had won.
