So you’re saying as we scored 67 you’re pleased the lads chipped in in the 2nd innings? Who scored the runs in the 2nd innings? Those issues of the 2 openers aren’t going away, neither is Denlys place.
I’m saying that, out of all the conclusions I could draw, the one I haven’t reached is that the result enforces the belief that we are mentally weak.
I understand that teams win and teams lose. It’s the ebb and flow of sport. I don’t have to shout angry things at this site to help me deal with my disappointment.

I don’t even know why I’m bothering really, you’ll never see sport in the same way I do bazza. I’m not sure you understand how it works. I don’t think you’re capable of it. And that’s fine. You crack on slating every performance by every team you ‘like’ and then being glad you were wrong and throwing in a ‘yessssss!!!’ to make it look like ‘psyche- I really am a fan’. You’re like a gambler who brags constantly of his winnings without mentioning his losses.

Yep, right up until the point we lose and you then distance yourself from the team and your disappointment by slagging the team and writing them off with ill-thought-out sound bites.

Come on Bazza, let’s have a bit of honesty here. Admit it, deep down you are really seriously pissed off that England managed to win this game. Incredibly happy? Fuck off. Even after that performance, without doubt one of the greatest wins by any England team in any sport, the best you can come up with is “we nearly fucked it up”," Stokes and a few others bailed us out". “Papering over the cracks”. Fucks sake Bazza, after watching what was, without doubt one of the greatest achievements by any English sporting team ever, against overwhelming odds, why can you not celebrate it for what it is, like the rest of us? The time for recriminations is for another day. Of course questions will have to be asked about the performances of some of the players, but now is not the time. We have gone from dead and buried to a remarkable win, which, most importantly keeps the series alive, all square with two to play.
I have to declare an interest here, i have a ticket to the first day of the Old Trafford Test, a belated 70th birthday present from a good friend, a scouse stockbroker,(now there’s a thing!), he is a ‘supermarket analyst’ whatever that may be! We are in the Morrison’s box, free champers and prawn sandwiches apparently. Now it would have been a great day out whatever, but if the Ashes had already been lost it would have taken the edge off it, but now it will take on a whole new meaning. I can’t wait. I just hope the weather holds, it is Manchester after all!

I’m glad I saw the WC Final.
I’m sad I missed this. But. My record of checking the score & a wicket instantly falling is about 90%.
I probably would have given up watching or gone full Baz at Bairstow & Jofra getting out, so actually? Nah. Glad I could play my part 
Meanwhile, great knocks by Root, Denly & Bairstow. Good effort by Jofra who will have learnt
