Debate from a month ago.

Two trans women with opposite views.

My worry is that at the extreme end it will start to oppress biological women from elite level sport .

One of the big problems with Laurel Hubbard’s inclusion is that she did compete at an elite level as a male prior to transitioning.

I thought the GMB debate pretty interesting - I can completely accept that certain male attributes atrophy during the transition period, but some things, things that might be important in the support of weights, such as the density of the overall frame supporting said weights, can never be lost.

I am 46 and I accept that there are decisions I can make that will permanently prevent me from being able to take other decisions. I’ve made such decisions on both a small and a large scale over my life, sometimes not knowing the outcome, sometimes fully cognisant of what comes next.

Anyone transitioning has to realise, and indeed - are counselled repeatedly, that certain pathways are going to end up being blocked off, the ability to naturally pro-create being the most obvious.

This should almost be as obvious, and it genuinely begs the question - what’s more important to Laurel Hubbard - living life as a woman or the female Olympic Gold in the 87kg category?

There’s not much good I can say about this, except that weightlifting is non-contact. It won’t be as dangerous as the Fallon Fox experiment in MMA. It still won’t be fair.

Yeah Joe Rogan did a long talk about that incident in the MMA, scary stuff.

Bit of an Eric Cartman Special Olympics performance then.

Probably the best result.

From another site, on a discussion regarding the female couple currently objecting to what they see as the media normalisation of heterosexual relationships. Which they appear to view as abnormal behaviour.

It isn’t about making the world a better place for everyone, its about getting what you want at all costs regardless of the potential effect it will have on society and getting your moment in the limelight where everyone will congratulate you for being so brave in the face of adversity.

Just look at what happened to J.K. Rowling when she made the mistake of trying to put the brakes on the trans train - that isn’t the reasonable debate of level headed individuals willing to listen to criticism - its a screaming mob of petulant fanatics who refuse to hear anything but support for their own personal ideals and beliefs. Anything else is to be condemned as an “ism” or “phobia” - often with the same or even greater levels of ignorance and self assurance that they claim to have suffered themselves.

An entire generation of healthy, wealthy and safe people who have become so bored with life that they desperately grasp at any chance to claim victimhood or be seen as championing the same for another. The simple fact that there’s been mutterings and hints of support towards paedophiles in certain snowflake centralised parts of the internet for years proves that the perceived “problem” is only a secondary consideration to the reward of “solving” it for a lot of these dreamy-eyed rainbow cunts.

Anyone else think that this has gone too far?

I saw an article the other day about the end of the western culture because it has morphed into some flabby decadent parody, I think they might be right

This would appear to be another case of the tide maybe turning on some of the ridiculous things that have been going on.

I find it astonishing that all safeguarding rules go out of the window if trans activists are involved.

Safeguarding is not about protecting people from the norm. It’s about protecting people from the worst that can happen. When safeguarding rules are put in place to protect women and children from men, no-one is saying that all men are rapists and/or violent. They’re saying that some are, and all men have to be subject to the rules to adequately safeguard.

And yet, if you point out the rather obvious safeguarding problems of having people born men in all female spaces, you’re accused of calling all trans women rapists or violent or whatever. Again, no-one is saying that, but that’s how it has been going down recently.
