I spent a long weekend in Sanur Beach, in 1982, on my way back from Perth. It was like the Australian’s Torremolinos.

Wouldn’t bother with Sanur or Kuta. Some nice beaches here though.

Annoyances Thread

I’m pleased to report that after my winter sunshine escape to the Land of Smiles was so rudely interrupted by a bout of pneumonia a week before I was due to fly off back in November, I have been deemed by the medics as sufficiently recovered, so I am flying out to Bangkok this Sunday, 29th. I can’t wait to breath in some warm air, one of problems with recovering from pneumonia is that breathing in cold air is bloody murder on my lungs, it hurts. I have been wrapping a scarf round my face when I go out but it’s still hard work. So two months in the sun is just what the doctor ordered. I’m having a week at a friends place on the outskirts of Bangkok to chill out and get acclimatized, then plan on doing a few Islands. Away for two months, coming back in the first week of April, when hopefully Spring will have sprung. Bring it on.

Mrs P_F was supposed to go to Bali with the owner of the furniture store she worked for in Dubai to buy a container of Accessories & Paintings for the store.
His passport had expired he found out at the airport, so sent her on ahead, called me and paid for my ticket next day with a 1 night stop over in Bangkok
We done all the statue shops art and painting shops and the trinket shops.
She filled the container saved the company for a year, I bought 3 Goofy Bird Statues & 2 epic paintings from Ubud.
Loved that monkey park.
Found 3 sitting on a wall must have been taught to do that hear, see speak no evil thing.
Must search for the pic.
Not enough time for Volcano or a beach day, just the golf day.
Lucky bats.

This will be me tomorrow in Cervinia
