I dread asking, why……?
Ah such happy memories. Lugging a bag full of, sodden, muddy, smelly football kit…coming home with a well laundered set of 12 shirts, 23 socks and 11 pair of shorts.
It’s bloody hot and humid so the wife and daughter needed clean under crackers.
I, of course, have been commando since I got off the plane so no worries for me there.
Gonna need a holiday to get over getting ready for holiday.
Mrs P_F was up at 04:30, cucumbers picked & picked by 05:30
Then onto washing & Ironing.
Couple of WFH meetings
House cleaning.
Now finally packing.
Me?
Bad back and as usual a Gout attack at the wrong time.
Meds are at least making me mobile
Finally
Airport beer time
Now if I can just get Mrs P_F to stop talking on her phone which rings every 10 seconds we can get some plans made
Yep.
I’m on holiday
Done crayoning with Granddaughter
Taught the new Puppy to dance.
My mornings work is done
Tried to do some scouting… Didn’t see any goals. So probably the guy up front will lead the line for us come August…
But he looks about 10yo
Careful of any pics on your phone going through customs
Nah, he’s a giant just a long way away
Well my queue jumping strategy has failed miserably - 3hr + delays at the tunnel even with Flexiplus
Yesterday people were reporting queues of 7hrs +
Turns out that only one tunnel is operational due to a train broken down in one
We are currently moving to block the other
Turns out Flexi ticket was worth it - delays of bet 5 hrs and we jumped the queue
Seems it’s all the fault of the Frenchies having to Stamp passports on non-EU nationals. Just wait until next year when we have to pay £6pp…there’ll be riots
The stamping bit was no worse than before Brexit despite what the media want to report
I wouldn’t, however, want to be a lorry driver
What stamping before Brexit??
My passport was suspiciously empty and going through passport control was, in my experience, never a problem.
Saw plenty of very long queues at passport control getting stamped into Austria and out of Italy this month
