I have €£$ accounts.
They have differing amounts in them.
Issue was when landed here & opened my account couldn’t link them to my debit card. (It was a status/ID Card/Brexit thing back in 2019)
Just spent an hour at main bank branch getting it sorted. So have some cash for chipping in for takeaways & car boot sale, can pay in pounds prob from Monday

Oddly enough, I just got a Barclaycard Rewards one, for the sole reason that it allows foreign cashpoint withdrawals free of charges. They charge interest of course, but I can just transfer anything I take out straight from my current account to avoid that. Seems like a decent idea because you get the bank rate rather than the tourist rate.

It’s specifically with the Barclaycard Rewards. Easy enough to apply for if you already bank with the apartheid funders, took me about two minutes on the app.
